    Trio 3

There are at least couple more: Live in Willisau (1997, Dizim Germany) Live At The Sunset - Wha's Nine (2008, Marge France) Wha's Nine is an easy recommend. I also really like Wiring.
  2. For me too - Jean-Paul Bourelly on guitar for a change instead of Ulmer (whom I love as well) - choice. I have most of the Adams/Pullens I think Jim
  3. I'll be ordering it from Allegro when there's a couple of others I want to make up a parcel. $7 for 1 CD internationally, +$2 for each thereafter. Cheers Jim
  4. I don't suppose it comes with a plug adapter for use outside of North America? Bit of a long shot I guess... Jim (in NZ)
  5. I just ordered one via Amazon UK - landed it here in Australia for approx 17 Aussie dollars Amazon UK has an offer on free shipping to Aust/NZ till May if you order £25 or more Also the actual listed price (£12.99) is reduced (by approx 16%) as VAT is removed - I've been buying lots of material this way since this shipping deal was instituted Also a good way to get the Stan Getz quintet box (comes down to £27 with free shipping) - OOS at present though LOL I just received a parcel from Amazon UK (Jef Lee Johnson's "Zimmerman Shadow" + Paul Motian Trio 2000 + 2 Live At The Village Vanguard Vol.3) - never thought to look for Media Dreams. They seem to have Disco 3000 as well (2009) but with a different (white) cover to the 2007 which is red - does anybody know if the 2009 version is identical just repackaged?
  6. The Bastards™ seem to have it at the moment. They do indeed - thanks for that Rooster.
  7. You're right Chuck - I don't deserve it do I? Problem with the (cheaper) Amazon options is they only ship domestically, and I'm in New Zealand....
  8. Anybody by any chance have a spare copy of this lying around ready to be flicked on? For some reason I ignored it when released but have just decided I'm desperate to get hold of a copy. Jim
  9. I have this but it's not for sale - picked it up on eBay a few months ago for $9.99 - lucky I know. However I have been searching for its companion volume Media Dreams for ages without success. Jim
  10. Available now direct from Aum Fidelity and "officially released" October 12. Have my copy already - wonderful stuff! Jim from NZ.
  11. Chuck do you happen to know roughly how much later? Do you mean a higher original retail price? Simply because of inflation or is it special in some way? (it's certainly not quadrophonic or marked as a special pressing) Thanks for all your feedback folks. Anyone care to comment on the jacket cardboard? I have a copy of 'At Fillmore' with the same labels but thicker card which is brown inside. The jacket on BB is white inside - which I think implies a later issue.
  12. Do we have a BB expert in the house? I just acquired a gatefold vinyl copy in pretty nice shape, and am trying to identify when it might have been pressed. It was sold to me as 'THE ORIGINAL 1970 1ST US PRESSING DOUBLE ALBUM' which I'm pretty sure is BS. The labels are the ubiquitous orangey red with COLUMBIA printed in yellow/orange 6 times around the outer ring. Index numbers are PG 26, CS 9996 (above STEREO to the left of the spindle hole) and XSM 152414 (below SIDE 1 on the right). I believe the true 1st pressings would have had the '2-eye' labels and (probably) quite a thick unlaminated card jacket - mine is unlaminated but relatively thin card. Also most online resources list the primary index as GP (not PG) 26, which is a puzzle. I'm guessing it's '80s vintage - can anyone confirm or otherwise? Any relevant information gratefully received. Cheers Jim
  13. After quite an elapse of longing to hear it, I finally picked up Alchemia 2/h on eBay the other week for US$84 inc.S&H to NZ - YAY!!! In great nick too! Have to say however that I don't like the soft plastic holders glued to the backing cards - quite a bit of the glue has made its way onto the discs themselves around the hole requiring cleanup w/tissues & isopropyl. I've typed up jewel-case-sized setlists w/full details for each disc & will store them in thin cases and keep the box & booklet separately. Fabulous stuff anyway - as is most of the V5 oeuvre. New one on Not Two just announced! Jim
  14. Thanks for all your words of welcome people! I'll be in the hot seat this Sunday 12th from 12-2pm local NZ time (and probably for the next few as the other 2 guys - both drummers - are busy with gigs/festivals/recording sessions thru July). Give me a call in the studio! (+64 9 309 3879) Any requests? No promises, naturally, but if I play it I'll mention your name and the Board on air. All the best Jim
  15. Thanks! Trippin'!! OK - that's quite an early JPB, I have it too, on Enemy if I'm not mistaken. The title track's a strong groove. He later made a string of albums for DIW, all cracking stuff IMHO. Here's his most recent: Never seen him, so I'm duly envious. Layin' In The Cut is a fine album. Jef Lee has also released a bunch of stuff on Dreambox Media out of his home town of Philly, and his latest is a strong recommend: Totally agree! - fantastic album! Very cool dudes Jim PS as you might have guessed I'm huge on guitarists.... any Fiuczynski fans lurking here? Blood Ulmer? Love 'em all!
  16. Hi people, I'm a rookie on this board, just registered today in fact and this is post #2. I read through most of this thread (btw what a cool idea) and somewhere along the line spotted that someone was offering a copy of Steve Khan's "Let's Call This" - is this still available? (been looking for it for ages) I have something ready to put up in return - Standard Of Language by Kenny Garrett. OK well talk soon eh? Jim PS I live in New Zealand - S&H for 1 CD is usually around US$ 5.00 by USPS.
  17. G'dday to the JazzWise (and the otherwise) from Auckland - just discovered this forum today, looks like fun. I present a 2-hour Jazz Show on the Auckland University student station roughly one Sunday in three - click my signature below to see yesterday's playlist. Not sure how much time I'll have for in-depth posting folks, but I'll be here as and when. Anybody here like (guitarists) Jean-Paul Bourelly and Jef Lee Johnson? - just two of my faves for starters. Go well people Jim
