  8. Interesting cover.. about once a month, i dig one of those gorgeous shearing old caps out, and lean back. they might not be jazzy, but they are tasteful, literate, and quiet. the musicianship is always stellar. in my world, there is still a place, and occasionally a thirst, for the shearing sound.

  15. i still have my mach 3 training wheels on, although i ocassionally fantasize about my old twin edged gillette blue blades(ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh). a straight razor shave from a lady, ah. now, that's a real fantasy, unless she's a nurse. with my luck, my nurse would probably be a guy.
  16. photos mostly jazz, period pics, and plenty of sports. looks like mostly library of congress photos. enjoy.
  17. program has ended. the untimely death in 1958 of ernie henry due to bad heroin at about age 30 is just another one of all too many jazz and human tragedies. this great artist is little remembered, even in jazz circles.
  18. the music of saxophonist ernie henry, collaborator of tadd dameron, among many others, is featured for the next 5 hours on wkcr. ernie henry

  22. there will always be someone to do a job more cheaply than yourself, and likely, better, or your job will become unnecessary or redundant. call it corporate greed; i choose to call it the way of the world.
