  2. say WHAAAAT? One copy is currently being offered on eBay Steve Lacy is on soprano, Roger Kellaway on piano... brownie------a distinct and unexpected pleasure.
  3. i love them, too, especially the duo one with glenn osser on pipe organ, and the gleason stuff, of course. i've played the tony bennet "the very thought of you'' easily a million times, mainly for the mindblowing hackett solo. the tension he builds in that solo is nearly unbearable.
  4. will do. THANK YOU!!!
  5. i need to hear more of that gorgeous tone and airy swinging in a dixieland setting. recommendations? ....hoping he and teagarden did a lot of sessions together.
  6. bill's show is essential jazz listening. his grasp of the subject and love for the idiom are rarely equalled.

  14. 'Maybe buy a blackberry cell phone with internet service.' we could buy him one. he's that valuable.
  15. having visited sporatically for a few months, i really miss the postings of goldy. hopefully, a disagreement has stilled his mighty pen, rather than unthinkable health matters.

  17. If they don't post, how can we "feel" or know anything about them? (I'm feeling something right now, but I think it's related to having eaten too much pesto earlier...) details details details.
  18. ' electric silence' by 'big o' could take its place beside rova's 'electric ascension' on my shelf. WNUR would definitely play that.
  19. helen is one of the wonders of the world.
  20. a very beautiful and important element of the organissimo forum is the large number of folks who are never heard or read here, who have stunningly beautiful sensibilities, and continue to read these forums and to tiptoe about. we understand and we feel you. thanks. the most exciting, pregnant elements of any music are the intervals, the pauses. you are all that, and more. thanks. wouldnt a piece of music be awesome if it was always pause? perhaps a 'pregnant moments' concerto for b3. jim and the trio could just turn the contraption on and record the hums. several members (myself included) will buy anything, and have.
  21. oh my. nice list. there are many really fine jazz shows on the web, but i look forward to hearing your program.
