  8. Dear Friends of WNUR Jazz, I'm emailing you to let you know that WNUR's annual phoneathon fund raiser is approaching. This year, the week-long event will last from Feb. 21st-28th. In order to raise funds, we ask our listeners to call in and pledge a donation to WNUR in exchange for a premium, or giveaway, of their choosing. We rely on record labels like yours to provide us with a significant portion of our premiums; the other giveaways are mostly WNUR-generated premiums, including t-shirts, stickers, pins, and our live performances compilation CD. Any material that could be donated for this purpose would be greatly appreciated. Anything from CD's to t-shirts, posters, stickers, and other promotional materials would all make great adds to our giveaway offerings to our listeners. I would also like to add that we will be making extra efforts to promote phoneathon and the premiums this year. As always, a list of all premiums will be online at http://www.wnur.org/support/ . However, this year, I plan on adding a section to the WNUR Jazz page that would provide extra promotion for the jazz premiums. This page would focus on premiums which have recently been new adds on our show. Furthermore, our DJ's will provide increased on-air discussion of the premiums in the weeks leading up to phoneathon, playing selected tracks as well in order to generate excitement about the fund raiser. Any and every contribution to our efforts would be greatly appreciated. Again, thank you for supporting our station, and I look forward to an exciting 2008. Please send all premiums to: WNUR 89.3 FM Attn: Jazz Show Phoneathon 1877 Campus Dr. Evanston, IL, 60201
