Toots swings as Hard as possible on the Jimmy Heath tune - For Minors Only! Swedish pianist Are Johansson is world class. Simply a great album. Recorded in Stockholm in 1985.

For my ears, the best decade of Sonny Rollins recordings is definitely the 50's. Two I like a great deal were only mentioned once or twice or not at all. Sonny Rollins Vol.2 - Blue Note Worktime - Prestige Though my list of outstanding recordings by Sonny Rollins in the 50's would be very very lengthy.

Frank Strazzeri has been one of my very favorite jazz pianists for a long time.

Just watched a live streaming session fro Smoke in NYC. George Coleman, Emmett Cohen, Peter Washington and Joe Farnsworth. The 86 year old George Colman played well and the rhythm section was outstanding. A terrific hour and a half of jazz.
