  1. Just pulled this CD off the shelf. Haven't heard it in quite some time. Will play it soon.
  2. This one has some very nice flute by Bobby Jaspar on 3 tracks.
  3. It was along time ago, so my memory is a bit vague, but I believe they played at the club at least 2 nights and with 2 sets per night. No idea how much of the entire gig was recorded. I was there just one night and stayed for both sets.
  4. Rheinberger - Piano Trio, Op.112 and Brahms - String Quartet No,2, Op.51/2
  5. Just played this to honor the late Freddie Redd who is the pianist on this session.
  6. Sorry to hear this sad news. Will pull off the shelf one of the CDs I have with Freddie Redd. Will play it later today or tomorrow.
  7. In 1977, when I was living in Rochester, New York, I went to see an all female quintet playing at the Monticello (club) . The group was - Vi Redd, Marian McPartland, Mary Osborne, Lynn Milano and Dorothy Dodgion. During that gig, they recorded an album on the Halcyon label titled "Now's The Time". What seems to be confusing discographies is that Dottie Dodgion and Dorothy Dodgion are the same person, but sometimes listed as two separate people depending on which name is used on a recording.
  8. Lucchesini - Beethoven - Piano Sonatas - No.17, Op.31/2 No.25, OP.79 No.31, Op.110
  9. Sibelius - String Quartet in A Minor and Stanford- Piano Concerto No.1 Op.59
  10. Mozart - String Quintet K.515 and. Saint-Saens - Piano Concerto No.5
