This new CD reminds of back in roughly 1955. I was in New York City and attended a concert at Town Hall by the Oscar Pettiford Big Band. This CD will not include that concert, but it brings back fond memories.

There are 2 reasons I don't listen to jazz on the radio. I have a very very large collection of recorded jazz which I play at home, and in my car. My ability to select the music I want to hear at any given time is far less available on the radio, when someone else makes the selections.
