well, I just got it, and I have to say for me, its a very emotionally touching album, in lieu of Jimmy's passing. Joey plays great, Jimmy plays great too, I feel its some of his best playing in years. Great funky take of "I Got My Mojo Workin" and a Latin "Back at The Chicken Shack" which injects new life into it. Joey does play piano on some cuts, and keyboards (Corcovado) but its tasteful.

ever hear the music of this cornball? He was a 350+ pound schizophrenic who had such songs as "Suck a Pitbull's ****" and "I Whupped Batman's Ass". The remarkable thing is that every one of this guy's tracks has the same preset keyboard rhythm, on over apparently 30 self produced albums.

got the Chambers and Gordon, cancelled the Liebman. disc 1 of the Chambers is pretty good stuff, especially "Whims of Chambers"

I just ordered these three sets, the Gordon and Beirach/Leibman are sets I'm taking a chance on, I often enjoy live recordings as an intro to an artist. How are these sets?

I love the BN's. Out of the Verve's tho the albums with Wes and "The Boss"(playing now on WKCR) are my favorites.

This is VERY sad for me. Jimmy has been a part of my listening ever since I was a little kid. I guess the recording with Joey D. out next week is his last.
