  1. Thanks Lon for your speedy feedback - thought about the Sonorama "Liquid ...." too .... still as I`m not generally a completist, could you name the one or other Dragon CD you `re digging .... especially .... ?
  2. Being late to the party I`m just enjoying the artistry of Lars Gullin. Do have - beneath his two Atlantic releases - Dragon CD Vol. 8 "Danny`s Dream" and Vol. 9 "Summertime" I would appreciate any guidance/personal faves/advices reg. individual volumes of the Dragon Lars Gullin series (U`m still missing). Thnx in advance.
  3. Both excellent ....
  4. Still wondering why this superb recording is not shouted from the rooftops ....
  5. Belohlavek probably was the last of the great Czech Philharmocis conductors in the line of Vaclav Talich (1933-43) Rafael Kubelík (1942–1948), Karel Ančerl (1950–1968), Václav Neumann (1968–1989), and held this post from 1990-92 and from 2012 until his death. Although he held his own against these world class precedessors (IMO) there is no recording by Belohlavek (of Czech music) which would have bettered the recorded euvre/legacy of these giants. He had a close collaboration with the BBC Symphony Orchestra resulting inter alias in interesting recordings of Suk (released on Chandos). Having said that, it was always a pleasure to witness him in live performances as he returned to perform in Vienna/Austri recurringly .....
  6. from the album Kyle Hall "From Joy" (Wild Oats) 2015
  7. As mentioned in the earlier thread I do own just one Venus release - Danny Zeitlin + Buster Williams + Al Foster "As Long There Is Music" which very very good .... and the cover art is no show stopper either ....
