Good stuff.

Jim: What are these posts that just have your name on them? Many seem to respond to posts I don't see. To what does "Good stuff" refer?
-
My Facebook status updates are linked to my organissimo profile. Do they show up in the feed as a post or something?
-
Yes. Or at least I think that's what's happening.

I'm obsessed with this record lately. If you don't have this, you need it. Future of jazz organ on this bad boy. Brian Charette is the BOSS.
-
Uhhhh what record?
-
Yeah, same question. Never seem to be able to see anything but text with these status updates (like the previous one referencing David Gilmour's birthday).
Not sure if it's a pic that I'm missing, or a link -- in any case, status updates only seen to show text only (fwiw).
-
They are Facebook status updates. The record in question is Brian Charette's Alphabet City.

Happy 70th birthday, David Gilmour. This is probably my favorite Pink Floyd album and one of the records that made me fall in love with the sound of the Hammond through a Leslie speaker (on chorale) when I was a little kid. Gilmour's tone on this album is the pinnacle, imo.

My ultra talented and beautiful wife is featured in this magazine for her paintings. The interview is an interesting look into her creative process.

Here's the link (definitely worth a look):

Happy birthday to my dear Stella Bear! She turns 8 years old today (wow!) Here's a picture of her when she was just 2. So sweet.

Best snow day ever. Working on horn arrangements for Greg Nagy's new CD, my wife just made some delicious oatmeal raisin cookies, and I've got a full bag of home made beef jerky. I think I'll stay inside for the next week.

So I just found a huge stash of messages I've never seen here on FB from people going back two years! So weird. And I had three messages from today that never showed up in my feed.

Dear grocery store music programmers, No one needs to hear All She Wants To Do Is Dance by Don Henley ever again. Thanks. Sincerely, People with taste.

Who are these yahoos? If anyone else displayed this level of incompetence combined with conceited bravado at their job, they'd be fired in an instant. And yet these people somehow keep getting elected. http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/worldviews/wp/2015/03/09/the-misguided-condescending-letter-from-republican-senators-to-iran/

Had a great day at Sweetwater Sound in Ft. Wayne, demonstrating a new product (can't wait to tell everyone more but I'm on hush-hush retainer right now) and hanging with my longtime sales guy David Mikautadze. If you need any audio gear, call Sweetwater and talk to David. He's the man.

I'm noticing some artifacts after uploading 320kbps mp3s to soundcloud. I assume it's from their own encoding process. What is the best format to upload to minimize that? Should I upload wav files and let soundcloud do the conversion?

I'm really excited to share some music from my upcoming prog project with everyone. Soon. I think you're going to dig it.

Off to LA this morning. Two more shows with Janiva and then I'm home for the rest of the year. Looking forward to playing with the band this weekend and then having time to finish up my own projects this winter.

"But that was precisely it. My questions did not strike me as novel or profound, but basic and elementary. The evasiveness that characterized so many of the responses, from this rabbi and others, suggested that the answers were a tangled spaghetti of sophistry meant to obfuscate rather than illuminate. And always, there were instructions to look further, elsewhere. I hadn’t read the right books. I hadn’t spoken to the right people. I was asked to place my trust in authorities who...

On to Tucson, AZ today for a show at Plaza Palamino. Two shows with Janiva left this year!
