  1. Now we just need those people to BUY it!
  2. David, Great to meet you and your wife! I'm glad you two chose to come to Saugatuck/Douglas despite the horrific gas prices. Next time, hopefully, we'll meet you in your neck of the woods!
  3. For what its worth, I think Soulive is very good at doing what they do. What they do gets monotonous to me, but what do I know? I give any trio centered around organ that can achieve that level of success major props.
  4. This is trumpeter David Weiss' gig, who is the groups weakest link. ← Thank you ← Everybody has opinions, David. Don't pay it no mind. Sorry to hear about your problems. Hopefully things will get better soon.
  5. What if we only add the hootchie dancers?
  6. We were as big as Soulive?
  7. Word, JP! I'm donating my gig monies this week to the Red Cross.
  8. It's amazing that some people still can't admit that the Bush administration fucked up. Regardless of the cause, be it man-made terrorism or natural disaster, the outcome is the same: mass destruction, lots of people dead, almost an entire city rendered useless, people trapped, no power, no food, no water, etc. So simple question time: Is this or is this not the exact situation that the Homeland Security Department was supposed to either a) protect against or b) have plans in place to deal with once it happened? And have they done either?! Yes, the politicians of New Orleans are definitely to blame. But how one can blame them and not this president and his administration, especially after 9/11, is totally incomprehensable. The federal response to this tragedy has been, at the very least, completely inept.
  9. If you even had one to begin with...
  10. What a lovely human being you must be.
  11. Yes! His check arrived the other day!
  12. What's better? Parking on Sundays or parking a big van?
  13. The governmental response to this, considering how much time they've had to prepare (since 1969) for something excatly like this, is really really really shameful.
  14. You guys are funny.
  15. I think most centering is now done through the program's print driver. For instance, both Photoshop and Illustrator control centering on the page.
  16. Fats Domino was still alive?!
  17. Very cute, RDK! I can't imagine having another one right now... must be extremely gratifying and tiring!!!!
  18. I'm still digging on my Epson, although I just had to replace the catridges (I did get a lot of use out of them) and basically for the cost of the catridges I could've bought a brand new printer!!! I guess that's how they get you. The printable CDs look great, though! Actually, everything looks better printed on the R200 than my old Epson 777.
  19. A couple websites for the guitar-heads on the board: http://www.guitarshredshow.com/ And one especially for Joe: http://www.joestump.com/ By all means, check out the sound samples!!!
  20. Yeah, we can organize an organissimo street team and hook y'all up with posters and flyers and shit!!
  21. You mean like Spyro Gyra? ← I'll fess up to owning one G-Man CD: Silhouette, from 1988. I bought it used, probably in '88 or '89. The sad thing is that this isn't the worst music I've ever purchased -- somewhere, buried deep in the bowels of my basement, is a vinyl copy of Michael Bolton's debut album. Seriously. ← Why are you admitting this? Guilty conscience? I can just picture it now... ala Poe's Tell-Tale Heart, everytime Uncle Skid logs onto the forums, he can faintly hear a wretched, high-pitched crooning wafting up from his basement!
  22. I use Shure E2 earbuds both for general listening, for rehearsals, and live. I like 'em a lot and they can be had for around $80.
  23. Keep politics in the political forum, please. That's what its there for.
  24. Well, I use a Yamaha EX7 that I bought specifically because the Rhodes and Wurlitzer electric piano sounds were so good. So... its supposed to sound like a real Rhodes or Wurlitzer. I think it does a good job. I actually used that synth in the studio with Root Doctor for Wurli parts, thinking I would later overdub a real Wurlitzer (the studio has a really nice one, like my old one... ) but it sounded so good we decided to just keep the synth tracks. The Nord Electro has some pretty amazing electric piano sounds, but that's all it does is organ, electric piano, and piano. I don't need the organ sounds and $1700 is a little too much to pay for what my $400 Yamaha (I bought it used... originally retailed for $1500) can do.
  25. I own a Rhodes. Used to have a Wurlizter that I stupidly sold because I needed the cash. I'm still regretting that one. I use a synth to play electric piano these days, mainly with Root Doctor. I sometimes bring the synth out to organissimo gigs.
