  1. Its really hopeless, isn't it? Bush: "What went wrong?" Berigan: "Gee, maybe FEMA didn't respond as quickly as they could have, but they're doing a great job now."
  2. Berigan, and all the other Bush apologists (where are you, SBO?) you need to look at the big picture. People did not leave New Orleans after the mayor issued a mandatory evacuation notice before the storm. The reasons they didn't leave are probably as varied as the people themselves but it doesn't change the fact that they did not leave. Shit, there are still some who are not leaving now. Who knows why? Does it really matter? Here is the issue: People who survived the storm became trapped in the city. The local government was under-manned, under-managed, and totally out of their league. What happened in New Orleans is the sole reason FEMA exists in the first place. Did FEMA do its job in your eyes? Did they even do a decent job? Did the federal government do its job? This is the worst natural disaster in this country's history. Did the government do what it is supposed to do, ie protect its citizens? NO! And who runs the entire government? Who is the head of the federal government right now? Whatever happened to "the buck stops here"? Bush and his cronies, which include Chertoff and Brown and the whole rest of the losers, FUCKED UP ROYALLY. They did not react to this crisis with any sense of urgency and as a direct result, more people died than had to. If you can't see that, then you are truly out of your alleged mind. Open your fucking eyes for a minute and LOOK AT THIS MESS!!! Please stop blaming the victims. Read that quote from Bush again. "What didn't go right?" C'MON MAN!!! Jesus H. Christ, C'MON!!!
  3. Don, I will definitely buy you a beer, my friend. Greg, Denny's is great but what about splurging and going to Bob Evans? If it's good enough for the Hatch's 50th Wedding Anniversary, it's good enough for us. <sorry folks, inside joke>

  5. Wow. We moved up from #12 to #6 this week on the CMJ Jazz Top-40 chart this week. We stayed at #25 on the JazzWeek charts. That's pretty frickin' cool! Our radio/print promoter, Mitchell Feldman, made a great point: I am very proud! I never thought we'd have this kind of success with this record. It is helping to open up some new avenues for us gig-wise that we didn't have before. I want to thank all of you for your support, and especially our members that are in radio (you know who you are!) that are playing the disc! Thank you, thank you, thank you! When we get to your neck of the woods, we owe y'all a beer! Onward and upward! Time to break the top 10 on JazzWeek!!!
  6. Not surprising, since you can get 1GB mini-Compact Flash Cards (I have one in my cell phone) that are smaller than a stamp. Pretty cool stuff.
  7. That's beautiful!!! Wow.
  8. Gee, I guess I haven't talked it up enough. [Memo to self: send Jim and Greg another 30 Philly PM's each. ] ← I hope you know I'm joking.
  9. I don't know. Philly is not much of an organ town.
  10. Not yet. We've been real busy. Hopefully we'll be getting together this Sunday for rehearsal and will do it then.
  11. Mitchell Feldman of MFA in Denver, CO is doing our radio promotion. He is in contact with XM and Sirius. No luck with them yet, but we should be on Comcast's digital music channels fairly soon.
  12. Not only that, but they're spinning the crap out of the disc! We got two heavies in Chicago pumpin' the organissimo organ. <that sounded bad> Time to get to Chicago! Who's in?
  13. Wow. Must show wife. Wow.
  14. I'm pretty sure it was off the coast of Hawaii. More specifically, off the coast of Oahu, I believe.
  15. Congrats, JP! Marraige has been good to me! I hope my wife says the same thing!
  16. Told you he's too busy golfing to post here.
  17. At least it came down from the $3.39 it reached on Thursday.
  18. Geez, Paco. Wanna be on Big O?! Nice tune, great playing, and NICE sounding recording!! You do all that yourself? Way to go, my man. You got some skillz! Bravo! Put a record out!
  19. I was in a piss-poor mood today myself. Had a wedding gig at a beautiful horse-farm. It was a nice ceremony, nice people, beautiful women, beautiful bride, good food, and we played some good music. And people were dancing and it made me happy. And then I got paid and got REAL happy!
  20. When I got to his photo page and saw those, I was talking with GregN online and I sent the link to him and said, "Look where he's playing." We both agreed it was priceless.
  21. Ain't no walking with a 425lbs Hammond B3. We have to be able to pull up to the club and unload. That's all there is to it.
  22. Well, unfortunately, we're starting kind of late. The radio is taking off now, so it makes booking some of this stuff easier, but most clubs are already booked up into next year. So we'll have to start booking them for the spring.
  23. WRTI has our CD. Not sure if they've added it to the play list yet. Call 'em up and request it!!
