I know it's content specific, but I have found that most of the suggestions can readily be applied to Diane Schuur and Wynton Marsalis discs.
As strongly as I disagree with the politics hugged by Rolf and Conrad, I think this would be a poorer forum without them. Now, do they clap on the right beat? Well, the answer is probably yes and no—as it were. Do they groove with the music? I'd stake my diminishing reputation on an affirmative answer to that one!
