  1. In what seems to be a case of little brother playing big brother, they had started to remove some of my threads, so I decided—as a departing gesture—to help them along and simply remove all that I could. BTW, that deactivation of edit some of you complained about is, I'm afraid something little brother did for my benefit Don't want to dwell on this, I am permanently out of here and I want y'all to know that I shall miss most of you, but I feel uncomfortable here. I am disappointed in people I once supported, but I don't leave in anger, because the Big O has given me much pleasure, and that will stay with me. It has also taken up too much of my time, but that's my own fault. Thanks to those of you who sent me messages, they are really appreciated. Hope to keep in touch with some of you off the board. Chris BTW, Jim, you might as well have little brother go all the way and remove me from the membership list—I shan't be needing that anymore.
  2. I have seen some interesting Beatles footage that will appear in a forthcoming television documentary series, On Record: The Soundtrack of Our Lives. It is hosted (and, I think, co-produced) by George Martin. Kevin Spacey will narrate. As far as I understand, it will trace the music as it developed in tandem with the technology of sound reproduction ("from Edison to the iPod"). I may know more later this month as I am meeting the producer (a madly enthusiastic Bessie Smith fan).
  3. I totally agree, Ron, CHUCK NESSA would love those photos.
  4. Probably 10 hours of Billie and 14 of Phil.
  5. Are they still running those things through Crawford?
  6. I just read in a Copenhagen newspaper that 4000 to 10000 remains will be dug up and relocated from a local cemetery in order to make room for a new subway. Those buried there include Niels Bohr, Hans Christian Andersen, Søren Kirkegaard, and Ben Webster, but they will not be moved. Their plots are not in the way.
  7. I am hoping that MusiklySound is a procrastinator and that the thread starter was scheduled for April 1.
  8. I realize that most of you are PC (as opposed to Mac) users and I have recently had to install Windows on my iMac in order to work with MS Work's database (my St.Croix slave project made the call). Anyway, so I bought MS Works but it came sans manual and its "help" option is almost a joke. In fact, so—compared to Filemaker Pro, which I was using—is the Works database program. My questions: How do I make a blank copy of the form I created (i.e. without duplicating the entered data)? How do I import data from one record or database to another? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
