The Red Menace replied to Jim Alfredson's topic in organissimo - The Band Discussion
This is great news, comrades!!! But what will it take for you to finally close the deal with white, working-class Appalachian voters??? -
What, no thread on the banks?

I smell Late Capitalism!!! :excited: Comrade Jsngry, we simply shut down the markets for our late, mid-late early-mid-afternoon Stolichnaya. -

I am still fuming that the evil Democrats stopped George Bush, John McCain, and the GOP from privatizing Social Security back in 2005-06. How I wish Social Security funds were enjoying a brisk ride in the current stock market! Sadly, John McCain now tries to claim that he never was for privatizing Social Security--but blast me with a T-34, comrades, he was!!! Why is he not proud to speak of his campaign appearances with President Bush advocating for such??? -

Correct me if I'm wrong, comrades, but wasn't McCain adviser Phil Gramm also a leader of the push to deregulate banks? Why, cross my stars and sickles, he was!!! -

The answer to this and every other economic problem: Less regulation!!! More tax cuts for the super-rich!!! Signed, John McCain and the GOP -

Phil Gramm is not your friend, but he is John McCain's friend. He's one of McCain's top advisers. Signed, One of 300,000,000 whiners!!! -

Suspender-strap barrels will be the height of fashion this season on Wall Street!!! Sadly for me, I live on Main Street. Perhaps it is time to take up the selling of organic apples??? As for Sarah Palin, comrades, I must confess that in the waning years of the Cold War we attempted to secretly invade your northernmost state--only to be repelled by assault-weapon fire from Sarah Palin's house!!! -
I got sick of that damned Sudoku--bah!!! So I came here looking for a good thigh-slapper like the "stupid questions" thread but came across this instead. Dr. Freud, yes, where is that rascal??? I have an exploding cigar I want to give him!!!
-
It's all in good fun, Comrade 7/4 (hic!!!)!!! Comrade Berigan knows that I love him and come the revolution, I will reserve a special place for him in one of the better minimum-security re-education camps!!! He will receive "Re-Education Lite." And now time for my "liquid lunch."
-
In the Politics forum? This should be no problem for Comrade Berigan--he has been posting missing links for years!!! And now back to my late, mid-late morning Stolichnaya.

My not-so-fellow Americans, I apologize for caring too much!!! I apologize for caring too much about the state of jazz!!! The state of democracy!!! The state of Achtung Dr. Freud's mental health!!! The state of Kentucky!!! (Definitely the state of Kentucky.) The state of Weizen's golf game!!! The state of Jim Sangrey's post count!!! The state of the AL East division race!!! The state of Alex and Cindy Rodriguez's marriage!!! The state of Allen Lowe's wisecrack bag!!! The state of the postal service that will soon be delivering the new Organissimo CD to my comradely abode!!! The state of the John McCain campaign!!! The "state of the state" address that my governor will be delivering in January 2009!!! The state of my holiday drinking!!! And now back to my holiday drinking.

Dude, I'm shocked, shocked to find that people are doing skull bong-hits in Texas! -

Damn, that kid needs to get laid, like...last week! It is very sad, Comrade Jsngry. He was involved for a long time with an attractive young lady, but they recently terminated the relationship. From what he has told me, the breakup can be attributed to post-innovative coition. -_- -
Here! Borders actually had these? Color me surprised! Just in time for a closeout sale!!! :excited:

My young nephew just read this thread and remarked, "Why such vitriol for these masters of post-innovative jazz?" I have appreciation for both musicians within the context of their times--Jsngry has made the most compelling case both for and against. -
VIDEO: Charles Lloyd Quartet Keith Jarrett Ron McLure Paul Motian
The Red Menace replied to JSngry's topic in Artists
It was not for lack of trying, Comrade Jsngry!!! I attempted numerous vodka toasts with Comrade Lloyd, but completing said toasts proved to be impossible--you see, every time I tried to pour into his glass, he levitated several feet off the floor and floated away from me!!! :o And now for the discographical matters. Comrade Lloyd visited my fair Union of Soviet Socialist Republics in May of 1967. The last Atlantic side appears to be Soundtrack, recorded in November of 1968. Your point about the video clip is taken. I wonder from whence it dates? Late 1968 or early 1969? -
My grand-nephew!!! I should have known--his mother has always been inclined to fly off the handle.

We are hateful only when facing a fierce attack of hemorrhoids!!!

I have not heard of this Stanley Crouch. Is he some sort of commissar???

 Perhaps there will be a similar statue of Comrade Wynton one day in front of the Lincoln Center!!!
-
That is the big old fashioned organissimo welcome. Indeed!!! :rsmile: Perhaps Comrade Hambone should visit our "meet the gang" section:
