  1. My screen look real crappy using iCab. Does anyone else have this problem? The thread titles are only one or two words on a line and the whole set up looks...well, bleah.
  2. Pink Floyd to reform for London Live 8 concert Sun Jun 12, 2005 11:01 AM ET LONDON (Reuters) - Four members of seminal British rock band Pink Floyd will play together for the first time in 24 years at London's Live 8 charity concert for Africa on July 2, publicists for the event said on Sunday. Guitarist David Gilmour, drummer Nick Mason and keyboard player Richard Wright will be on stage with bassist Roger Waters for their first public performance since they played at London's Earls Court in 1981. The rock legends will join a star-studded line-up including Coldplay, Elton John and Paul McCartney at the Live 8 concert in Hyde Park, organized by activist rocker Bob Geldof to pressure rich nations to ease African poverty. "Like most people I want to do everything I can to persuade the G8 leaders to make huge commitments to the relief of poverty and increased aid to the third world," said Gilmour. "Any squabbles Roger and the band have had in the past are so petty in this context, and if reforming for this concert will help focus attention then it's got to be worthwhile." The band released their first album "The Piper at the Gates of Dawn" in 1967 and broke records with 1973's "The Dark Side Of The Moon," which remained in the American album charts for more than a decade. In the 1980s relations between Waters and the rest of the group soured, with Waters suing over the rights to the Pink Floyd name. Gilmore, Mason and Wright continued to record and tour as Pink Floyd, releasing their last studio album "The Division Bell" in 1994
  3. They most likely have to play what's new or on sale if it's a chain store you're talking about.
  4. What cha get? What cha get?
  5. Chaney, did you get a new cd player yet?
  6. The iCab works! Thanks Jim Dye! This place is one I check multiple times a day and I missed checking it out.
  7. Thanks for all your help Jim. I appreciate it.
  8. When I downloaded it, it said that there was insufficient space which I find hard to believe as I have about 15GBs available. There wasn't anything that was an installer.
  9. I'm at work on a PC right now, but at home on a Mac, it locks up. I can view the low-fi version, but you can't post there. Jim A. has helped me, but I've had a problem with Mozilla that he suggested. Any alternatives? Thanks very much.
  10. It is R. Wilder. Here's his post: Organissimo!! These guys are my buds! The drummer, Randy Marsh, is a good friend, great guy and one of the finest jazz drummers in Michigan. That is a great board, too, the best jazz related I've found. Organissimo are doing my station's Jazznight simulcast later in the month.
  11. I mentioned this site over at a Guided by Voices site and one of the regulars is a dj and knows about this show. I want to say his name is R. Wilder, but it could just be a board name. He said he was looking forward to it.
  12. The piano Piece called The Cell sounds like it is fantastic. I haven't been able to access this site from my home computer for a few days. It always locks up.
  13. Feedback. I still can't get enough of it when I am dicking around or actually playing. Always a rush.
  14. Another positive vote for Caiman. I've used him/them several time & never had a problem. Buying used does help the fanatic with all the re-re-re-re-re-releases if they are so desired or to sample someone they are curious about.
  15. I was hoping someone would get that.
  16. Did you catch the winky-face jon?
  17. Can't say that I have Bright. What's he like?
  18. I've got to redo this one, it's been bugging me. The song New Town is great, but the rest of the album isn't as good except for the last song. I was swayed by its dulset tones. I also wouldn't add the album in the best of this set of 10, so just Graven Image, Lost Cause & The Beginning. I like the acapella albums more on the whole than the album New Town so here's a revised ranking: KEEPERS 1. The Beginning PERSONAL OPINION 2. This Narrow Road 3. Put My Dream On This Planet 4. New Town 5. "I Woke Up" FOR COMPLETISTS ONLY none Don't be surprised if I redo more or all of these.
  19. My father had bought an Intelivision & still has it. Went they went under he bought up as many games as possible for cheap. He still has them and many I think aren't even opened. I remember trying to comprehend a game called Utopia where you made your own country.
  20. Adventure was the best in that it had NO music at all. Has anyone else ever found the microdot in that game? Video Pinball I played a lot also. My brother would play Missle Command a bit. I loved Donkey Kong in the arcade but the Atari version sucked. I remember Gorf though I didn't play it much. 5 screens, right? Last was a big ship? My friend loves Galaxian (or Galaga, what was the difference?). My father would take me to arcades and he always played Battle Zone, the one where you're in a tank blowing up other tanks. Remember when Dragon's Lair came out? That was soooo cool. I wasn't good at all at it. Space Ace followed that one, but I remember that one even less. Those were the only 2 games I remember that had a monitor on top to watch. I also remember Raiders Of The Lost Ark for Atari. I thought that was a cool game too. There was another Atari game I remember playing a few times but could never remember the name. I could only identify it by sight. It was thin red lines that you jumped up & down too. I don't even remember the point of the game. What I do recall was you'd keep jumping up to higher & smaller lines and then at one point you'd jump down & would just fall trying to land on another red line. It was that sense of falling for what seemed like a long time that I thought was so cool that I still remember it. Anyone know which one I'm talking about?
  21. Guitar groups are on their way out. Hey Noj; HUSKER DU!
