  1. Nope, but my wife & I are going to get tickets to see Franz Ferdinand in Boston in October.
  2. I went with iCab.
  3. No, not since the 18th. I haven't been in the mood for Jandek. The weather has been too nice, perhaps. ←
  4. Have you been listening to anymore albums, JohnB?
  5. I think we all have dylexia.
  6. 97 cds in 36 releases (I'm adding the Cellar Door in this). I didn't add 2 cdrs I made of stuff not on any of my other cds. If I did, I'd be 1 away from 100-150. This is no duplicates, lots o' box sets and from 1948-1975; no 80-90's stuff.............................ever.
  7. Lots & lots of bad lyrics.
  8. I bet a music player of yet unknown format will be implanted into every person in the world so we can listen to whatever we want and no one else can hear it after too many complaints about noise pollution.
  9. I really want to hear the '66 & '67 unreleased Impulse sessions. These would really finish the picture of Coltrane's musical history.
  10. Oh man, Chaney. I can't wait to see how you review The Electric End from the next one, Lost Cause.
  11. Congrats phasme, you lucky bastard!
  12. No review of Diamonds yet. Glasgow has made re-evaluate the 9 albums of I Threw You Away-When I Took That Train. I'm digging through all of it again given that Glasgow has made me change my mind about this period which I always stated I liked the least. A fans gotta do what a fans gotta do. As for Crumble, I always felt, was my least favorite keeper (as in my original rankings). It's the 3 versions of Jewel that do it. I liked the 2 of Clerk because they're different from each other. The rest is good, but doesn't quite standout next to other albums.
  13. $200 smack-a-roos. Felt too impulsive at the time, but I'm glad I did it. I think the complete Copenhagen is coming out soon.
  14. Some of my favorites are on there; well actually it's the whole album, but Makes No Sense At All, Find Me, Every Everything, The Wit & The Wisdom (LOOOOVE this one).
  15. Me too, when I get it. Thanks for the link Chaney. What they put there is quite humorous. Hey Chaney, is that you in your avatar? If so, are you bowing a cymbal? How's that sound?
  16. I wondered about The Long March too. It was listed on Jazzmatazz in 2005 and beyond for a brief time and now it's not there.
  17. Keep in mind Integrity In Music has moved. They are in the same building they've been in, but are now in back of the building and I'm not sure if there is a sign on the main road. It's off of Silas Deane Hwy. There's a road next to a Carvel Ice Cream; take that road and make a right into the first driveway. Drive to the second building behind there and you'll see the sign. They're open 10-6, I believe, maybe shorter hours on Saturday and closed Sunday if I remember correctly.
  18. I love it, but it's not for everyone. if you like the fast stuff on Everything Falls Apart, you'll like Land Speed Record.
  19. They were pretty much the same. JohnB, have you heard Land Speed Record? That's what you're in for with the album part of Everything Falls Apart though there is some melodic songs on there also.
  20. I always blamed Spot for that horrendous SST sound. I love many, many albums on SST but would love to see all of them remixed by someone with different sensibilities. Off the top of my head I think that The Living End might get my vote for best sound quality, over any of their studio albums I've heard. I've still never heard Flip Your Wig and will have to remedy that very soon. ← You MUST get Flip Your Wig. It is one of their best and not as tinny as Candy Apple Grey & Warehouse. The Living End has a fantastic sound; definately their best sounding album JohnB, oh I concur. The guitar is ferocious, the drums have a great live reverb and the bass...YOU CAN HEAR IT!!!
  21. Greg isn't gay, Grant is & and no one, including Grant & Bob, has ever come forward and said they were an item. They've said they never tried to cover it nor did they talk much about it. It was an open secret; they just didn't go around talking about it as it had nothing to do with the band. I've read Greg is married, I believe, for his 2nd time to a woman who works with him. The only reference to Husker Du in the resteraunt is a B&W 8x10 live shot on a wall. His wife who is about 20 years younger didn't know for a long time that he was in Husker Du as she wasn't that familiar with them. The Warner albums do sound brittle. I bet Mould was pushing to be the loudest in the mix but his hearing was probably shot by then. I think he has tenitus.
  22. John Coltrane Quartet - TBD - DVD (Blue Note) — 1965 performance (8/1/1965 at Comblain-La-Tour, Belgium?) They had Max Roach & Archie Shepp's The Long March in there also, but it's no longer there. Anyone know anything?
  23. Got my copies of Glasgow Sunday & Raining Down Diamonds today. Glasgow is great! Diamonds is...Jandek, so more listening is required before a review.
  24. That's a great song. I love It's Not Peculiar, Friend You've Got To Fall, She Floated Away, Could You Be The One, Charity...& Back From Somewhere. Worst Husker song ever: Turn It Around. But I'll never skip that song because I am a FAN!!!
  25. Thta's true. They had a hardcore set, then a more melodic set. I have a few bootlegs from that time and their set up like that.
