  1. What do you think of that CD, jlhoots? I've not heard it. NP: Mike Wofford Trio - Live at Athenaeum Jazz (Capri) with Peter Washington & Victor Lewis
  2. Andy LaVerne Trio - Another World (SteepleChase) with Mike Richmond & Billy Hart
  3. I think Never Again is slightly better. But Feelin' It Together is still darn good, well worth tracking down.
  4. James Moody - Feelin' It Together (32 Jazz; originally Muse)
  5. Cal Tjader - Extremes (Fantasy)
  6. David Newman - The Weapon (Atlantic)
  7. Clark Terry - The Globetrotter (Vanguard)
  8. A couple favorites.
  9. Gene Harris & the Three Sounds - Live at the It Club (Blue Note, rec. 1970)
  10. I no idea there was such a thing as 78 rpm vinyl. I assumed that all 78s were made of shellac and that vinyl only began to be used when LPs were introduced. Huh. Learned something new today. 😁 👍 You aren't the only one! 😋
  11. James Moody - Moody's Mood (Chess, 2 LPs) This album compiles James Moody's first three LPs for Argo: Flute 'N the Blues (1956), Moody's Mood for Love (1957), and Last Train from Overbrook (1958). Oh yeah. A wonderful compilation.
  12. Dizzy Gillespie - Something Old, Something New (Philips) playlist derived from this set:
  13. Dizzy Gillespie & the big band - The New Continent (Limelight)
  14. Spinning this superb Tommy Flanagan LP again: All three of them sound fantastic, but George Mraz is really catching my ear tonight.
  15. Listening to a couple Cal Tjader LPs: Amazonas (Fantasy, 1976) Last Night When We Were Young: Cal Tjader with Strings (Fantasy, 1975)
  16. Machito Orchestra - Fireworks (Coco/Charly)
  17. More 1970s jazz from California: Cal Tjader - The Grace Cathedral Concert (Fantasy, rec. 1976) with Lonnie Hewitt (el p); Rob Fisher (b); Pete Riso (d); and Poncho Sanchez (cga)
