  1. Sounds good to me. Takin' Five is a smooth jazz ripoff that doesn't use that bridge. What would Jesus think of such a rip off?
  2. Great tune as long as it's played in it's original form, "Takin' Five" doesn't count. you obviously never heard Helge take it apart five times over stir fried with a stumbling horn and wavering lines. Ka Chinggg! Clue me in: who's Helge? And where can I check it out? Good to see you back couw.
  3. Atkins Diet and walk as much as you can each day. Start with a mile and work your way up to two or three.
  4. Nice B3 and quite an interesting thread!
  5. Too real for me.
  6. and then there's that nasty Iraq thingie too.

  8. Yez to Evan Parker.
  9. The East Village is one thing, but broadcast TV? Wow!
  10. I enjoy the way they celebrate at the end of the game. When I saw them rolling around in the sand after they won the gold medal, I thought [honestly] .."geez, I bet (insert screen name of choice) is loving this..." Yes, I got a laugh out of it. On the Today show this morning they ran a little montage of them slapping each other's butts after each great play ending up with them rolling around in the sand. Then Matt Lauer asked them about it and and the blond one gave the brunette a hug and a kiss. But the sound was turned off, so I don't know what they said. Mostly surprised, I'm not used to Women getting that frisky on TV. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
  11. Dude! Ganesh (like all those Hundu dietys) is just another of the many faces of God. Just like Jesus and many others. It's the way they see cosmos. God is everywhere, a concept that I haven't heard in the Christian world since I was in Bible class as a child. speak for yourself. I totally believe in the idea that God is everywhere. He's everywhere that you can find unadulterated joy: In Ronnie Foster's solo on It's Your Thing, in the roar of an old Vette when you step on the gas, in the sky when you can see stars for miles and miles, in the fields when you see flowers in colors you didn't know existed... The way that the hindi dieties had been described to me (by a hindi) was much along the same line as the catholic saints: there is one big god that we all know and love, and then you pray to certain deities for certain things. That would make Ganesh his own bad self, among a crowded field of other dieties. I wouldn't pretend to be an expert on Hinduism, but like any religion, there are often many interpretations. Good to hear that you see and hear God everywhere, most Christians I know have never mention the bliss of the living moment.

  13. DMG is ahead of release dates sometimes. It was in their 7/23/2005 newsletter. http://www.dtmgallery.com/Main/Newsletter-2004-07-23.html
  14. Yep. My copy shows "Edition 2004"
  15. I got my copy from Downtown Music Gallery a few weeks ago.
  16. I enjoy the way they celebrate at the end of the game.
  17. I heard them at Tonic a year or two ago and once the sound man got their sound together, they were OK. As I rode the train uptown, some kid said "wasn't that an amazing bass solo?". Sorry, I don't think so. Not very focused, a little bit of this, a little bit of that. Not much of a statement.
  18. exactly.
  19. That's just a scan from the net, but it looks just like the LP I bought many years ago.
  20. Why does it look totally different than my copy?
  21. Go wild man, I have no problems with these things, but be careful not to offend Dan Gould...god forbid!
