Have both, and I really do like Ayler's Impulse! output. That Trane LP sleeve hangs on my wall in my billiard room!
The original Maupin sleeve is waaaay far sweeter than the new ECM cd booklet.
Agree. Wayne's records pre-67 with BN, were amazing enough (including ETC); Schizophrenia onwards was another realm he tapped into. Evan more brilliant stuff.
Great stuff! I almost think I willed this CD into existence. Way outa print by the time I hipped to it, but I found it years later in a box at a used record store much later. It was meant for me!

Still like Andrew Hill's Lift Every Voice way more, but this record's still cool. With that said, this album cover smokes Lift Every Voice's album cover by a landslide.
