Peter Brötzmann Had a show here at the Beachland Ballroom in Cleveland in 2017, but I could not go because I had another engagement. Regret that immensely because that would be the last time he would perform here.

Hands down, "Inception" turned me into a huge admirer of Christopher Nolan's work, and I wanted to watch everything that came beforehand, e.g., "Memento", and everything afterwards, especially "Oppenheimer." The cast was top-shelf. Besides DiCaprio, Tom Hardy, Cillian Murphy, Ken Watanabe, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt to name a few. The special effects were absolutely incredible, and I agree with Rooster Ties, the premise was borderline insane, and the action scenes were ridiculously good! I also really liked Hans Zimmer's soundtrack too, as it really added a feeling that something ominous was always about to happen at anytime. Just an overall excellent movie, one of my favorites from the last 15-20 years.

Any collaborating/recording, Matthew Shipp and William Parker do, I'll instantly buy. Just broke out Equilibrium to spin later on with Khan Jamal.

Excellent record! I like the Prestige get-togethers/all-star jams, but there are some that are not jams, Like the "Prestige Jazz Quartet" sessions: Nor this: With Teo Macero in great form.

Wow. Uncle Pharoah and probably, McCoy and Jimmy Garrison were around as well.

Oh yes, RUSH was always a treat to see live, and I noticed that Geddy can't hit all the high notes too, especially the last time I saw RUSH on the Time Machine tour (roughly 15 years ago?). But ironically, I actually like that he has come down an octave; it kind of adds a new twist to the music.

Wow, that's very very cool! I still haven't looked into their "new drummer" but my student, who is a huge RUSH fan, seemed to enjoy the show (now, my student only knows the really new stuff, and I have only seen RUSH with Neil Peart, back to the Signals tour, so I can't imagine anybody else but Neil Peart drumming for RUSH). Now with that aside, what you say hear is really interesting: "When I first started getting into Jazz and heard some Monk, I laughingly thought to myself, "Now I know where Peart got that"." I know exactly what you are saying here, I heard it too. Sometime around Moving Pictures, Peart wanted to re-learn how to play drums like a jazz musician, and got really heavy into like Art Blakey and Buddy Rich. An album on Atlantic; I think this:
