Various Sun Ra things that have come to market this year. Three Stan Getz "easy listening" records that have relatively trite backings but mostly magnificently melodic readings by Getz: ,* Illuminations * Didn't We * What The World Needs Now The latter two have a lot of Getz playing over pre-recorded tracks, the second one altogether, as it was supposed to be a Wes Montgomery album, but Wes left for A&M before he got to it. Who knew?!?!? A handful of recent-ish Roscoe Mitchell records. I dunno, what else? The years are starting to blend together more and more. I don't trust that type of time very much, to be honest.
