on deezer.com christian escoude - live at duke de lombardes (actually have it on cd but not here..., pretty sure it's oop, nice organ trio record with emmanuel bex) one thing which is sweet about deezer is that they have all or at least many of those french universal/gitanes cds by escoude, rhoda scott, randy weston, teddy edwards... (plus the jazz in paris series...); loads of georges arvanitas too... no idea whether everything on their site is there perfectly legally - but they do have a deal with universal so guess these are ok

checked a number of things from this thread, not all - all available on deezer.com as well (which unlike spotify is available in germany - no idea about the rest of the world...)

had never really tried services like these... now giving www.deezer.com a try, not a big archive but nevertheless many nice things to stream without even having to register (first sonny simmons live at the knitting factory, now some massimo urbani for me...) (ah, now i see to listen to more than a few tracks i need to register costlessly, think i might do that...)

there are some nice further tracks on it, like the john dennis solo piece, some of the ada moore, one of the alonzo levister tunes, one tune from sam most's debut album (with pretty amazing clarinet playing), the latter two not available anywhere else for instance... but nothing substantial maybe... (the kenny dorham debut album is great !)

Only got round to buying Vol 2 last year, having had Vol 1 on vinyl since the 60s! Both wonderful, of course! the saleswoman actually only wanted to sell me one volume, thinking they were twice the same thing and the other one hadn't arrived..., luckily i had a look in the box... haven't played vol 2 so far but i really don't know where i've been all those years... amazing indeed
