  1. Don't think so. I may have passed up trashed copy once. Why do you ask?
  2. I'm a sucker for that eastern-tinged psych-jazz. All of Gabor's Impulse and Skye albums are worth picking up. Also, Chico Hamilton's 60s Impulse albums with Gabor on Guitar.
  3. Sonny - Inner Views (Atco, stereo)
  4. Gabor Szabo - Bacchanal (Skye)
  5. Did anyone mention Izzy Goldberg? One of the great bebop pioneers.
  6. Lalo Schifrin - Once a Thief - Verve (mono)
  7. Pepper Adams - 10 to 4 at the 5 Spot - Riverside (stereo, OJC reissue)
  8. Clare Fischer - Manteca! Pacific Jazz (mono)
  9. Bob Brookmeyer - Trombone Jazz Samba - Verve (stereo)
  10. El Nuevo Pete Terrace - Scepter (mono) 60s Latin Soul session!!!
  11. Frank Hunter - White Goddess - Kapp (mono) RARE TOP SHELF EXOTICA!
  12. Mongo Santamaria - Up from the Roots - Atlantic
  13. Herbie Mann et tu Flute - Verve stereo 2fer collection of his Verve stuff.
  14. Bearcat - Clifford Jordan - Jazzland stereo (OJC reissue)
  15. The mono still sounds better at this point, by choice or by accident.
  16. Tina Brooks - True Blue - Blue Note stereo (Japanese reissue) Played back in mono for optimum sound, as RVG surely intended.
  17. One of the coolest instruments ever. I will be happy to take any CDs or LPs off your hands with celeste. Villa Lobos and Les Baxter, two giants of 20th century music, used the celeste to great effect.
  18. Art Pepper + Eleven - Marty Paich - Contemporary stereo (OJC Reissue).
  19. Paul Desmond/Jim Hall - Bossa Antigua - RCA stereo (Japan pressing, 70s logo but non-dynaflex).
  20. 14! That's Numberwang!
  21. His early Reprise albums "Ring a Ding" (with Johnny Mandel) and "Swingin' Brass" (wih Neal Hefti) are among the best things he ever recorded.
  22. I was being halfway facetious. But considering how readily available Oscar is on both CD and LP - for low dough, to boot - I'm not sure how many people would get excited by a box set.
  23. Some good information posted so far. As someone who has both sold records in bulk and also individually on eBay, I would add this: How much time do you have to deal with this project? During a stretch when I was unemployed, it made a lot more sense for me to list a bunch of albums on ebay that only went for $5 a throw. On the other hand, working full time and always having stuff to do, I only list albums on eBay that I'm pretty confident will fetch a lot. So, depending on how much time you have, you may want to eBay only the more desirable titles, and sell the rest in bulk to the record store.
  24. Why not just go to the Goodwill and pick up his entire catalog on LP like I did?
  25. Reggie Moore - Furioso - Mainstream (white label promo) Killer version of "Where is the Love."
