Claude Schlouch replied to J.A.W.'s topic in Miscellaneous - Non-Political
Thanks folks, It's my friend Brownie from Paris who indicated me today that some friends posted messages on the board. I'm very touched by all your tokens of friendship. I hope to help you even for a long time. Cheers. Claude -
Hi, Did you have the Spanish Fresh Sound LP "Jazzmantics" by John Graas (Fresh Sound Records(Sp)252283-1) released in 1985. It contains a bonus track (Free and easy) not on the original Decca LP. Does someone want to sell it? A copy on CD-R will be appreciated. Thanks for your help! Claude PS: I look also for the Fresh Sound Records(Sp)054-2600411 LP "Ethel Azama-Cool Heat".

Very good, but maybe because I'm a KD's unconditional. Seriously I found that Kenny's playing is very great on these underrated sessions (May 28 & June 2, 1959).

Hi, Fresh Sound Records released some weeks ago, the very rare session led by pianist John Mehegan with Kenny Dorham, Chuck Wayne on guitar & Ernie Furtado on bass. No drums! Album title is "Casual Affair with the John Mehegan quartet" (Fresh Sound Records FSR 1612). To listen immediately!

Hi, There is also the volume 1 "Kenny Dorham-Blowin' from New York 1964, Vol.1" (Raretone 5021-FC) containing the August 21, 1964 session at P.S. 173 Harlem, also issued on Xanadu 205. The very first release of this session was on an LP Harlem Youth Unlimited 1001 titled "Haryou Act presents Jazz at P.S. 173. To my knowledge, the short-living label Raretone didn't release anything else concerning Kenny Dorham.

Hi, I'm curious to know if there are readers who know this great singer. I would like that they contact me. Thanks in advance! Claude

Hello, For my Art Pepper discography in progress, I search all broadcasts by Stan Kenton from 1943 to 1951 when Art Pepper was in his various orchestras. Thanks in advance for your offers. It is important to make turn your tapes from time to time. In here is the occasion. Of course, I'm ready to pay the right price. Claude Schlouch
