Well, I'm agin' it. It's hard enough competing with "amateurs" without them being on stage. It reminds me of the mom telling a kid "You're good, honey," when the kid sounds like fingernail scrapping a blackboard with the time of "Seinfeld's Elaine." I mean, like, I'll survive, but why encourage that kind of behavior to go public? Keep it confined to the shower/home, immediate family. We need to whittle down the competition. I hate it when crap's the norm. No, I ain't particularly elitist, just old school, I guess.

Did I say "I'm glad it's over?" And, I wish and hope with all my might that it won't return. It screwed up scheduling of House and Bones sometimes. That's totally unacceptable. I hate that pimping/popular stuff.

Why, the horny little harlot. She needs to cool her heels(assuming she's a HS student) and he needs to recognize the problem, keep his distance; and be vewy, vewy quiet, maybe she'll go away. :)Even if she is of age it'd be unethical for them to get it on.

you know, the descriptive little line below the avatar? What's it officially called and how do I install one? I've searched hi & lo in FAQ and My Controls and seem to be overlooking the directions. Do I need to install an avatar before I can have a caption? I feel soooo dumb, frustrated and not just a little heartbroken too. Thanks [Excuse this if it's a duplication. I can't imagine pineapple on a perfectly innocent burger. Then again, I couldn't imagine it on pizza either. Then again, maybe there's something wrong with my imagination.

The very best burgers I ever had were back in the 60s at Little Joe's in San Anselmo(sp)[maybe it was Corte Madre], CA. Man, he'd take about a pound of ground beef, shape it oblong, take half of the bread out of a about a third of a loaf of Italian bread and slap that sucker in there...man! And their fries, like real and real-tasting potatoes. The foulest/strangest tasting shit was one of Hardee's angus burgers. What's with this angus crap anyhow? Angus beef tastes just like other beef, no different. [if it's different you've got a problem. ]Fact is, I heard, most beef cattle are either angus or whiteface. All Hardee's did was put black pepper in the meat, made it taste like "angus." Gimme a break. Excuse the rant. I feel better now. Thanks.

If there's one bright spot I noticed that diesel was actually cheaper than reg at one station down here in paradise. And the last time I bought K-1 it was more expensive than reg gas. Go figure... Personally I think management(gov "control") is screwing us over.

"Bubba" will provide a shoulder to cry on, I'm sure.

Dumb question, I know but, is Army of Shadows as good as Platoon?[assuming you saw, liked Platoon] Actually, I saw Platoon and thought it was one of Stone's better efforts. They're very different films. Army is about the French Resistance, particularly when there were only a few hundred of them and they were in constant danger of being caught. Platoon is of course about America's Vietnam quagmire. Hmmm. I could get into a whole thing about respective subtlety-quotients, but...no. Let's just say that, even given the old apples-and-oranges caveat, Army of Shadows is at least as good as Platoon, maybe even a tad better. (Personally, I'd say it's at least a hundred times better, but hey, that's just me.) I appreciate your reply and objectivity.

I freely admit that this is a dumb idea for a thread. Nah...not as dumb as endlessly debating the possibility of a Classical music forum. That's debatable.
