Lome, Togo - A Swiss MP, Gabriel Poncet, lured into Togo before being kidnapped, was saved by Togolese Gendarmerie, PANA learned Wednesday from police sources. According to the sources, one Francis Raymond Akakpossa, 35, a Togolese national, working with two Nigerians and two Beninese nationals, had contacted Poncet on the Internet in October last year, asking him to come over to Lome, the Togolese capital, to sign a document for the transfer of funds to Thailand, amounting to US$ 12,500,000.
