  1. Wow, I wouldn't worry about it. At the end most of the Police's fans are well over the age of "subliminal/subconscious way".
  2. You didn't understand. What Copeland is saying is that Miles and Trane as composers are some other artsy-fartsy intellectual jerks, but Miles and Trane as musicians are crap. Anyway I was luckier with my old dad then the poor Stewart, my dad hated jazz.
  3. Sam River's MOSAIC, disc II
  4. In this case: sorry I was mischewed by the title.
  5. Usually the big money goes for well trusted sellers, so for the Mobley you could pay 1,7 K for a 'ear', DG, mint cover, labels, inner sleeve and record, and you know what you'll get or risk 400 $ with a less trusted seller. My suggestion is to put records on ebay when that particular title is lacking for a while. I mean that when a Rollins' Colossus fetched for over 1,5 K, a lot of sellers rushed to put the same record on ebay. You actually don't know if the 1,5 K buyer is a lone madman or at least a couple of madmen fighting each others over any reasonable price. You should check the bid's history to have a view about how many people are really interested in that record and how much they are ready to pay for it. You can't do it on Popsike. So kh1958's suggestion is not so bizarre.
  6. Since I am a good guy and I want to spare you the shame send me the Mobley for 10 bucks. Seriously speaking there are a lot of factors involved in fixing the price of a record. No way to have a correct value. Maybe you could fix a range, but collectors's crazyness could always break the bank.

  11. And Ben Webster. I forgot him! Maybe because he makes me sleep at every listening
  12. SMOOTH JAZZ? Coleman Hawkins is smoother then most of ECM stuff. And what about Miles/Gil outputs?
  13. Damn, Where? My beloved records shop in Rome shut down definitely a week ago, they couldn't afford the renting costs and the on-line and big chains competition. Sad news, a nice place run by nice and competent people. Hope they will survive in some other form, because I loved buying records vis-a-vis, I had a lot of good suggestions from these guys. here their website http://www.disfu.com/index.php In praise of DISFUNZIONI MUSICALI Mozart Requiem, Karajan, DG, tulip label.
  14. What he said. Welcome aboard.
  15. You can't fully appreciate 'stereorama' without this:
  16. Yes, but I do not do it, because I think that Justice is due to Courts, not to mediatic pillory. And we have much more interesting scandals over here, from the medias' POV. Politics, Football, you know: business as usual. Plus more serious problems about crimes, mafia, camorra, ecc. I think Diego found Achilles heel of ebay and paypal, and he exploited it. Now what about a class action against ebay and paypal faults? As I said before this is that kind of exposure ebay's CEO would avoid at any costs. If you can gather enough people in U.S. that would be the way. IMHO.
  17. Woaw! He is not bad at all in his scam, he could easily find a good place in an investments bank.
  18. A Haiku is 5/7/5, Porcy. Not 5/5/6 Should it be correct in this way? ECM Haters Check Good Psychiatrist Help Maniac Obsessed

  20. Not as a breed; but I love Ernie Andrews and Milt Jackson. And Oscar Brown Jr, Joe Carroll, Louis Armstrong, Ray Charles are also well played around these parts. MG I was joking, I like Leon Thomas.
  21. yes, me! now you can send me that LP I'll do it, as soon I will rip Trane's solos out of the records.
  22. I started with J. Coltrane and J. Hartmann, but I layed it down after a couple of songs. Is anybody out there that actually LOVES jazz male singers? Then Bill Connors's Theme to the gaurdian, Ecm, great guitar playing...and damn boring So after the side 1 I gave a spin of a forgotten record: Ry Cooder's soundtrack of 'The Long Riders' and, you know, I liked it so I am putting on another Ry Cooder's record. I'll have to choose one.
  23. Don't underestimate the Force.
