What is your problem?? As far as I know no one mentioned any of those things, whereas your comments are rude and insulting. Actually I haven't got any problems: some of your past comments about italians edged the trivials commonplaces about us: 'divers', 'catenaccio', 'typical italian playing', ecc.. The party goes on right on so who cares...
-
at least they are more coherent than yours! go party, man!!!! If Germany won the WC, would you be coherent?
-
I forgot: the party is starting right now: PIZZA; MAFIA MANDOLINO and all your preferred commonplaces about iitalians.
-
Right! We are The CHAMPIONS, we lost at KP in US 1994 with Brasil, we gained this. Tell me, who deserves it? I don't need your answears : the team who won. That's it. I still remember what the italian speaker of Spain 1982 cryed after the end of that match: 'CAMPIONI DEL MONDO,CAMPIONI DEL MONDO,CAMPIONI DEL MONDO! All your snob comments are worthless. 'CAMPIONI DEL MONDO,CAMPIONI DEL MONDO,CAMPIONI DEL MONDO!

About 'catenaccio', maybe it's a 'boring' way of playing, but everybodys, (ask to 1982's Brasil and the following Carioca's coaches who won the WC), knows that you can't win a WC without a solid defense. I think that a match that ends 45-38, could be very funny to watch, but is like the match we used to play when we were kids in the Chuch's courtyard, great football is another thing. BTW, Catenaccio is another one of the commonplaces about italians, US 1994 team with Sacchi as coach didn't adopt it as way of playing, exactly like germans didn't drink beer and eat wuesrstel from breakfast to dinner.

Please keep politic outside my post. It was a very tactical match, both team were afraid of each other. The point is that Germany played with two forwards, Italy with one, but I was expecting a most aggressive german team. If you consider the ball's possession, Italy overwhelmed the germans, I was expecting some sort of pressing on the ball's owners, but Germany was passive, or afraid, they didn't. Klinsmann was afraid of Totti, and everytimes he had the ball, two or three players was on him, that leaves more space to Pirlo. The same with Toni, two or three players on him, that open spaces for 'italian boring playing'. In the extra times the funniest thing is that italian team ended the match with FOUR, I said FOUR, forwards. So forget 'catenaccio'. At very first of the first extratime we got two great occasions. Lehmann and Buffon are great goalkeeprs, the referee was correct. Overall I thinks we played better and deserved to win. It will be a classic? Mexico 1970: Italy vs Germany 4-3 is a classic Spain 1982: Italy vs Germany 3-1 is a classic Italy vs Germany 2-0 at in last three minutes of the extra times, in Germany, in a stadium with 60.000 german supporters against us will be a classic, no matters what will happen in the final.

Frankly, I didn't see any stellar team, maybe some episodes, but this is not the best WC I saw in my life, and I started watch football in 1970.
-
Italy played well, (and I usually tend to be critic about his playing). Italians defense is definitely the best defense in the WC, Cannavaro, Zambrotta, Nesta, and Buffon, the goal keepeer, is the best one I saw in this WC. With Zambrotta, Gattuso and Totti reaching their top form, Italy would be a tought client for everybody. Out best forward, Luca Toni, more then 30 scores in national championship this years, breaks the curse with two goals. All the polemics and scandals unite the team. I was more afraid of Argentina then Germany: we beated them in 1970, we beated them in 1982, we scored to them four goal in the last test match. Overall I am optimistic, like in 1982 WC in Spain. If our players can bear the tension, they could beat everybody. Obviously all my considerations could be wipe off by Klose.

It seems that football pull out the dark side side of the force BTW, the 'divers' are in semifinal
-
I enjoyed Argentina - Mexico, the mexican showed the problems of the gauchos. I didn't see Argentina so well. Actually I don't see any team so superior to others. They all have their problems. So I think that WC is still open. Peace, J.A.W. and apologizes.

I love GPC 1 too, my copy is a bit worn , but still enjoyable. I only have Vol. 2. It's a 2LP set with 6 longish tunes. 's Nice! Vol. 1 is a studio set, right? Yes, same line up, single LP, better recorded, but Vol. 2 has more drive. IMHO

If you don't understand what is posted, don't forget to ask the poster what they mean before posting comments like you did. For your information: I was clearly referring to the Italian football players, not to your country. Correct, but I was angry because Italy still plays bad at this WC
-
Well, how I interpret the post depends on my comprension AND how the post is written. It's called COMMUNICATION. But, yes, this not an excuse for my disgusting and horrible comments. So I apologize again for it. Maybe I am a bit angry because racism towards imigrants is growing in Italy right now, and some of my ancestors suffered from it when they were immigrant in Germany and Switzerland.
-
The next time time you post don't forget to add , so I will unrdestand you're kidding, if you're kidding.

Porcy, Your comments are disgusting and your comment to couw is totally out of order. J.A.W. it's only a football match, WTF!! I didn't noted any irony in your comments about italians, I read , as I stated above, some sort of scorn about italians in general. What happened in the match is worwide common: all the forwards do such things. I can accept opinions about it, not hidden insults about my country. I apologize if I overreacted and I apologize because I offended some of you.
-
You guys are pretty offensive, using the same commonplaces about italians: mafia, pizza and mandolino. I presume you wouldn't use the same arguments with black people, would you? Something like 'usually niggers are lazy'. You're pretty disgusting. Sorry Couw, I presume you are busy to watch the match, drink beer and kill jews Just for keeping the level of previous comment of Skeith and J.A.W.

For sure their acting killed less people then the bunch of B-Movie actors that rules your country. Don't forget to post when GWB and Rove get an oscar or a Nobel Prize for peace.
-
Well, those Italian actors who played earlier today are certainly renowned now... For sure they acted better then Van Basten.
-
Pretty funny. The only thing that didn't convinced me it's the fact that our players didn't reach the grade of sun tan of the player depicted in the video, you know, we hadn't too much colonies in the last centuries.
-
Yeah! A great Shakespeare's tragedy... for the soccerros. And Totti is a great number 10.
-
Freddie Hubbard THE BLACK ANGEL, Atlantic 1841 Broadway, a clearly influenced Bitches Brew session, anyway better then most of his later CTI records IMHO.
-
pfff, side one got really annoying with all that endless feeping and fooping so now it's The Griffith Park Collection 2 / In Concert (Elektra) w/ Freddie Hubbard, Joe Henderson, Chick Corea, Stanley Clarke, Lenny White. I love GPC 1 too, my copy is a bit worn , but still enjoyable.
-
Hey! I am the first one to do it. I will put out a yellow for it

As I said before, Baggio was of another class, but I can assure you that Totti is a great player. Sadly, for our national team, he missed the great international competition, probably he lacks psychological strenght, he couldn't bear the tension and the expectations. Anyway, if I I should judge Totti and Baggio I would say that Baggio is a pro and a pretty decent man, Totti is a good spoiled boy, like most of today's players. BTW I enjoyed Portugal/Holland, a part the referee, a real battle. And Van Basten could have been a great player, but is a bad coach.
-
Totti, Baggio and all the great 'number 10', (Maradona, Zidane, you name it, ), usually need some liberty in order to express their talent. It seems to me that in today's football, often they are sacrified to tacticism, and too strict schemes. Maybe I am wrong but all this athletic strenght and tatctic made football faster, but poorer of beauty. IMHO obviously.
