The son of Marcello Lippi, the italian team coach, is in the rank of the infamous GEA, as are some of the players. The italian goalkeeper Buffon is at the moment involved in a scandal about illegal bets. In Italy most of the people, according to recent polls, think Lippi should resigned. Psycologically speakin this is not the best way to start a championship, but nobody knows what will happen. I think they have only one think to do: win the championship, otherwise they should try to find some contracts with foreigner team, or try some plastic surgery: I can assure you that in case of a defeat thousands of angry supporters will chase them in the streets.

Scandal is growing, involving the coach of italian team. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/europe/4989484.stm Since football is the first religion in Italy, (catholic one should be the second, I think ) is like as they get the Pope with a prostitute. Personally, I hate religions so I am waiting for the Pope scandal.

I forgot I have a couple of mono VJ's of John Lee Hooker, they aren't so bad.

This is one case where the Mosaic CD set format scores big time over original vinyl. Great music though, indeed ! Sadly correct.

If you in US are worried about italian team, just take a look at this, I presume it will be a pain in the a** for our coach and players. BTW, this is only the last of a long list of scandals, corruptions and financial frauds in italian football leaugue. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/europe/4765173.stm http://www.corriere.it/english/articoli/20.../juve_cda.shtml

But if that bid from you had been placed with only one second left you would have lost anyway, wouldn't you? Scenario 1 2 minutes left: niceguy bids $10 - Highest bid $10 3 seconds left: porcy62 bids $20 - Highest bid $10.50 2 seconds left: badguy bids $30 - Highest bid $20.50 badguy wins at $20.50 Scenario 2 2 minutes left: niceguy bids $10 - Highest bid $10 2 seconds left: badguy bids $30 - Highest bid $10.50 1 second left: porcy62 bids $20 - Highest bid $20.50 badguy wins at $20.50 Correct. What I am trying to explain in my poor english is Scenario 3 2 minutes left: niceguy bids $10 - Highest bid $20 3 seconds left: porcy62 bids $100 - Highest bid $20.50 1 second left: badguys bids $150 - Highest bid $105.00 badguys wins at 105.00 So, sniping could be very expensive if the snipers are insane. I admit that sometimes I bid insanely and I found a faster lunatic I was asking myself: does it exist a faster snipe tool for mental disease like me?

Thanks for the answears. Moose, if my maximum bid is lower than the previous maximum bid of the highest bidder, the auction outcome would be that my bid simply raise the winning cost, but I loose anyway, if I outbid the previous highest bidder in the last three second, and I am outbidded by another bidder, means he bid in the last two seconds. BeBop, most of the jazz auctions end in the middle of the my night because most of the sellers are from US and I live in EU, and I can't follow auction during my working time, so sniping is necessary for me.
-
Until now I use Auctionstealer, its Priority Service allow a bid 3 seconds before the end of auction, and I was pretty satisfied until now, I pay them for the Priority Service but I think I spared some money on auctions, so it's a convenient sniper. Lately I won some items whose price was raised by last second bid. Do you know if there are more efficient snipers, I mean 'last second sniper', or you can place a bid in the last second only if you are a Billy The Kid of the keyboard?

I am paid in Euros, and I tried to get some of these records, but I was outbidded by a guy whose nickname was rudy_van_gelder, living in US, so your theory has some holes. That's okay; the records have holes as well... So has my wallett...

I am paid in Euros, and I tried to get some of these records, but I was outbidded by a guy whose nickname was rudy_van_gelder, living in US, so your theory has some holes. just as tourism increases in Europe when the dollars strengthens, lps priced in dollars draw more foreign bidders when the dollars drops, cause they are getting more back for the buck, (or should I say yen). Great majority of high bids coming from overseas. It's an economical law and I agree, but I think that collecting rare jazz records has more to do with psychiatry. If you have done a survey on a representative sample of recent bidders I have no objections.

I have some RCA Dynaflexes of Lou Reed and they still sound far far far better then cd.

I don't know this particular case, so I can't say anything about it, but... I presume you never lived in a flat over a noisy place. My flat is just above a Bingo Hall, (it was a Cinema Theater when I bought the flat) where drunk people used to finish their evening at three a.m. singing outside the hall, breaking beer's bottle and such amenities. This is one of the case I missed your Constitution, I am referring to that part about the right to carry firearms. On the other hand I don't miss your Constitution, because now I would be in a death row for multiple murders. At the end of the story the police closed the hall. The company who used to run the Bingo breaked down. I just bought a new flat, hoping to sell this one quickly before someone else rent the hall.

How is it? I think it sounds really good, but I'll be returning it. Side 2 has a bunch of tiny scratches that sound throughout. Why Mosaic used Classic's 200 gram proccess with it's widely known lack of QC baffles me. I asked for a replacement for the same problem, got a better copy, although not really perfect. As usual with Mosaic it didn't cost me a penny Agreed on Classic, I think that 180 grams records of Analogue Production or Sundazed are better. Actually Classic Records will not get money from me in the future. BTW it sounds OK, and the music itself is I could go on with smilies for ages, but Jim said they slowering the server

Has this board influenced your music purchases?

Oh Yes, the huge hate and nastiness aginst Kenny G and Norah Jones manifested in this forum, almost make me buy at least one cd of them, just investigate. Hey, I said 'almost'. -
