  6. This is a great record. I did find the box set for the 77 Montreux festival. Some great music from that festival. Probably my favorite of the Hodges/Davis albums. Agree, and add Grant Green to the mix and it makes that much better.
  7. The reception isn't any better, in fact I seem to not to get the station in clear with the upgrade from where I live.

  13. I bought a CD last week and it arrived yesterday. It is "32 Festival de Jazz de Vitoria-Gasteiz, SPAIN (2008)." I mainly bought it because it had a track by Sonny Rollins. It is on Verve records. My problem with this CD is this, Stephen Scott is on Piano for the Rollins track, "Where or When." Scott stopped playing with Rollins after 2002. Sonny went pianno-less again at this point in his career. How can this recording be from 2008? Does anyone else have this CD? Since it differently not from a 2008 concert how could Verve make such a gross mistake on the year? Some of the other cuts are correct. For instance, the first track is Herbie Hanck with Joni Mitchell. Image from CD Universe.

  15. #3 Steve Lacy, how could I not get this one? I had a Lacy track on my upcoming BFT but took it off the list. I thought his sound would be so familiar that it would be too east. As Homer Simpson would say,

  21. With due respect to Jeff's BFT that's going on still and stumping the hell out of me, I would like to know how you want the music, download or mail for February's BFT? Those that need it mailed I can get the copies ready to mail out sometime next week. This BFT will be mostly music never heard before by well known artists.
