Duke Ellington and His Orchestra: In a Mellotone (RCA) John Tapscott posted this one recently and I thought I'd take my copy off the shelf. Glad I did.

The man wrote lyrics that were part of the soundtrack of my youth.

Probably not all that obscure, but Horace with vocalist Bill Henderson on "Senor Blues" and "Tippin'".

Is it pronounced "Low-fee" or "Low-Fie" ? I assume it's low-fie, since most of Michael Hurley's recordings have seemingly been low budget affairs aimed at music lovers rather than audiophiles (though one can be both). Could also be a sort of pun on the two Lodis (N.J. and Ca.). Only Mr. Hurley knows for sure.
