  10. Takin' Care of Business was recorded in May of 1960. Charlie Rouse joined Monk in November of 1958. So TCB is not actually pre-Monk Rouse.

  12. Available on Bear Family. Plus, there's a Volume 2.
  13. Rhymin' Simon Anthony Adverse Homer Simpson
  14. Looks like we have reached a deadend street All I could come up so far is 'Dancing on the Ceiling' (Erroll Garner) Anybody has more? I came up with that one plus "One Man's Ceiling Is Another Man's Floor" (Paul Simon), but that was it. Maybe Jeff can bail us out.
  15. An episode of Midsomer Murders - The Black Book Midsomer Murders is (along with several other English series) the visual equivalent of comfort food for me.
  16. It has nothing at all to do with the date of the recording, but there are CDs and LPs I've gotten rid of because my ears couldn't tolerate the sound quality. I haven't done a count, but I would bet that there have been more post-1970 recordings in that group than pre-1970 recordings. Music always comes first, but if the sound quality intrudes too much, it's gone.
  17. Rick Nelson Jimmy Ricks Slick Rick
  18. Everything I've read states that he was born in 1936. Did the old sources have his birth year wrong?

Next word: SHOE(S)
