One of the first jazz LPs I bought - in late 1962, iirc. Introduced me to Monk, Blue Mitchell, Cannonball, Bill Evans, Jimmy Heath, & Bobby Timmons, among others. Still have it.
Looks like we have reached a deadend street
All I could come up so far is 'Dancing on the Ceiling' (Erroll Garner)
Anybody has more?
I came up with that one plus "One Man's Ceiling Is Another Man's Floor" (Paul Simon), but that was it.
Maybe Jeff can bail us out.
An episode of Midsomer Murders - The Black Book
Midsomer Murders is (along with several other English series) the visual equivalent of comfort food for me.
It has nothing at all to do with the date of the recording, but there are CDs and LPs I've gotten rid of because my ears couldn't tolerate the sound quality. I haven't done a count, but I would bet that there have been more post-1970 recordings in that group than pre-1970 recordings.
Music always comes first, but if the sound quality intrudes too much, it's gone.
Buttons and Bows - Dinah Shore
Button up Your Overcoat - Helen Kane
Button Your Lip - Amos Milburn
The Button Box Polka - Jimmy Sturr (a local guy)
Button Box Fever - Jimmy Sturr
And while I'm here, I want to give Jeff props for mentioning two of my favorite obscure songs in this thread - Dave Williams' "I Ate Up the Apple Tree" and The Insect Trust's version of Thomas Pynchon & Jeff Ogden's "The Eyes of a New York Woman".
