I'm reminded of a short piece I read in the NY Times Metropolitan Diary a couple of years ago: http://www.nytimes.com/2009/02/23/nyregion/23diary.html The first short article in the column is what I'm referring to. I don't think that the goods referred to (& I wore them back then) were ever made in the U.S., but the irony is still there.

  24. That they are. The best version I've heard is a European RCA LP collection mastered by the late Bob Jones - The Elvis Presley Sun Collection. Blows away the RCA CD collections I've heard. Probably be hard to come by these days. If you find one, snap it up. On the other hand, the music should be heard even if the sound isn't the best. So go for it in whatever form you can find it.
