  6. I've learned that the hard way. Now, if I'm interested in a Quatuor Mosaiques recording, I order it right away.
  7. I only have two of those quartets. I'll have to play them today. It's a shame that many of Quatuor Mosaiques' recordings don't stay in print.
  8. Blind Willie McTell: Blues in the Dark (MCA/Decca)
  9. Thanks for posting that, David. Looks like all who attended had a good time.
  10. Whenever I see Chasen Shreve enter a game, I cringe and think, here comes Eddie Haskell.
  11. Little Sonny: New Orleans Rhythm & Blues (CSA)
  12. Cat-Iron Sings Blues and Hymns (Folkways) - yellow vinyl
  13. The two Japanese LP issues (I have one) and two Japanese CD issues have a different running order than other LP and CD issues, including the original Candid LP issue. According to Discogs, "Although the back cover shows the original tracklisting, track positions have been modified for this reissue, as can be seen on record labels and insert (explanation in Japanese). This track listing modification is Roach's own intention especially for this Japanese release (written in liner notes)." Does anyone know whether this different running order was Max Roach's original intention, or whether he decided on it years later. It's also interesting that the US Columbia issue, which I believe was leased from Max Roach, has the original track running order. Strange stuff.
  14. Clifton Chenier: Black Snake Blues
  15. Martinho da Vila Isabel (RCA Brazil)
  16. Steve Lacy w. Don Cherry: Evidence
