  1. David, I am sorry for your loss. 24 is way too young to go.
  2. THIS JUST IN! With the recent snafus on the board, I am pleased to announce the Sopranos season will re-start, but this time with a much more enjoybale and popular story line.
  3. If you want to opt out of the politics forum (again), just PM me. I'd make it automatic, no way we want Al bag in there.
  4. Crazy! The posts are still all there but not recorded.
  5. Oh shit, I'm back in Phoenix!
  6. I noticed some of the threads are missing the names of the topic starters and thought I was losing it. Dang, I just made it over 8000 posts not too long ago. Does this mean ContemporaryladySF has to re-register?
  7. I love this one!
  8. Here I am late as usual. 1. Major hard hitting swing here. Any chance I'm hearing Art Pepper and Ben Webster in the mix? 2. Nice, but no clue. Grappelli with a latin twist? 3. Stormy Weather! That's as much as I get. I like it though. 4. Exactly Like You Nice enough playing. Is this some of the O.P. Telarc stuff he was putting out in the early 90s? Probably not Oscar at all. It could be one of the younger cats like Benny Green. 5. Thought Jackie McLean at first, but clearly it's not. This one was smokin' I'll be looking for it if still in print. 6. 7. Nice. 8. A-Ha! That's Mr. Hugh Ragin off of "Feel the Sunshine". I've not had this cd long so it's still very fresh in my mind. I really dig Craig Taborn on piano. 9. For the most part the organ looses me. Tenor could be Arnett Cobb or Don Wilkerson? I'm really lost. 10. I thought Houston Person on alto, but no way. A little too long for a tune like this and the cry out at the end really blew it for me. 11. No doubt Lester Leaps In and no doubt Bird with that funny tone from the "Bird" movie music. The tune smokes. 12. Not bad, not bad at all. I'm digging it. 13. Take a bow! Thanks Evan.
  9. BADOOM CHING!
  10. It usually takes them along time to go back to it. Well, think about it, that's how real life works. Look how long it took them to finally go back to the fact that Vito was gay except for about two or three minor references during the first episodes of the season. That shit with Vito being gay last season. It only took a long time to get back to it because they had almost two years off between seasons.
  11. If they want to make it interesting it should be Phil that does it.
  12. Indeed totally unrealistic. In my opinion the show has jumped the shark big time. I'll continue to watch because it's almost over, but I'm not going to be all that sad when it's gone. Of course my mind can still be changed, but I'm not too optimistic.
  13. A real talent that will be missed. R.I.P.
  14. Chris, I just watched it. Magnificent! Very real and a most interesting look into the life of a true great. I only wish there was more.
  15. D'oh! Obviously the clues were there. Excellent work Aric. Indeed. I guess he deserves a except for the fact that he's freaking out over the bird flu thing and going into hiding. Yes, the bird flu thing seems a little odd, but after you know it's Aric..... See Here And Here
  16. D'oh! Obviously the clues were there. Excellent work Aric.
  17. Now, that would be a movie worth seeing.
  18. Guess what, it's the weekend!
  19. Remember to drop a line just before or when you hit NYC. Maybe we can get a little Org Board meet and greet going.
  20. Is it just me or does the trend lately seem to be making movies (often bad) out of TV shows from the 70s and 80s? The Addams Family The Beverly Hillbillies Charlie's Angels Starsky and Hutch S.W.A.T. Scooby-Doo Bewitched These are just a few and don't even count the movies that are really just longer versions of TV series. It seems like it was the other way around at one time. I mean didn't Holloywood used to laugh at Television? No disrespect to anyone here in the business and this oen could very well be a winner. I'm more curious if we have run out of original ideas. Because anymore it seems when it's not old TV shows being done for the big screen it's old movies getting re-done. Maybe I don't know what the hell I'm talking about, and maybe it's always been this way. Just thinking out loud.
