  1. You guys get rain. I never make fun of places that get rain. Plus, I still have many family members living in Jersey, so, it can't be all that bad.
  2. Paul, you had the coming, you're practically a stranger around here now.
  3. I'm afraid I don't know, but I could do a little research on it. Will get back to you on that if I find anything... We waited 9 days for that answer! WTF!!!
  4. are they? What is there an echo in here? It all sounds like Neil Sedaka to me, don't you hear it?
  5. Are they all supposed to sound the same?
  6. Obviosuly you my friend, are a freak of nature.
  7. I'll trade ya. B)
  8. Probably about 102 today.
  9. Could not agree more about those two needed acting lessons. I originally thought Buscemi was a good addition, but I think you're right, he's not very convincing in the role.
  10. As I remember it, the thought of Vito taking him out did get young Finn rattled. Of course in this case, it was Vito wanting to take him out to a ball game. Seriously, I could see Finn proposing marriage as a way of searching for protection.
  11. No doubt, Paulie Walnuts is hilarious. One thought about the thing with Vito was that they would indeed kill off his character, and Christopher would take over his crew.
  12. Randy, I'm sorry to hear of your loss. You and your family have my deepest condolences.
  13. Tony B., is making problems, the writing is on the wall, Johnny Sack is going to mess Tony (both of them) up before this thing is all over. Christopher is all pissed off, that's not good, his old lady is going to try and make things good for him by running her mouth to the feds. Is it just me, or is anyone else sick of Carmela? What the hell was that thing with Vito?
  14. Hmmmm....., a clue!
  15. Track two made the whole thing worth it for me. It better still be in print, or else.....
  16. I picked up my first two Woody Shaw leader dates this weekend. CAN YOU DIG IT? I can. B)
  17. Big weekend. Woody Shaw - Little Red's Fantasy Woody Shaw - Solid Andre Previn - Like Previn! Cedar Walton - Promise Land Freddie Hubbard - Ready For Freddie Hampton Hawes - Four! Lennie Tristano and Warne Marsh - Intuition
  18. Here it goes. For the most part, this BFT contained stuff that is beyond me, so I have limited guesses. #1 - As soon as I heard electric bass I thought Jaco Pastorius. Don't know the tune and don't know much Jaco, but it seems the logical choice. #2 - This one is beautiful. My guesses were all over the place, Jimmy Heath, Joe Henderson, Wayne Shorter, George Coleman. Some JC influence going on here. Could it be? I thought the piano may be that of Cedar Walton or McCoy Tyner. #3 - Another great one, sax almost sounds like the same player as on track 2, however, it could just be my ears. #4 - Nice tune, but I've got no idea. #5 - Shorter? Ralph Moore? #6 - Real short tune, no guesses. #7,8 - Not my cup of tea. #9 - ????? #10 - Kind of a fun sound, but I have no clue. #11 - I'm not at this level yet. #12 - This one made me depressed. #13 - ????? #14 - Two guitars? #15 - I know the tune, but have no idea on the vocalist, sounds like someone trying to do a Sinatra thing. Thanks RC for letting me play. B)

  20. All SPAM restaurant opens in the Philippines 3/28/2004 1:48 PM By: News 8 Austin Staff A restaurant the Philippines is serving up an American classic. A businessman in Manila has just opened the first all-SPAM SPAMJAM restaurant. “I love Spam. If you ask people my age, I grew up with SPAM. It's a favorite," owner Philip Abadilla said. SPAMburgers and SPAMnuggets are just a few of the items on the menu. Abadilla said he serves about 300 customers a day. "As a businessman, I'm always on the lookout for good opportunities and I figured since there's such a big market for Spam here in the Philippines, maybe a restaurant serving all Spam will be something that will be welcomed by a lot of Filipinos and it proved right," Abadilla said. The canned luncheon meat was founded during World War II by Hormel. In America, you either love it or hate it, but in the Philipines almost 3 million pounds of it are consumed each year. The owner of SPAMJAM said his business is so successful, he plans to open two more.
