  1. Tony, does that cake say what I think it says?
  2. Happy Birthday Lon!
  3. I don't know about you, but I always thought this was one of the all time greatest covers.
  4. I know it was SPAM, and I realize we have a NO SPAM policy here, I also know Use 3D closed the thread as is his right to do. I would just like it to be known, that in the future if it is at all possible to leave those threads open until we all or at least I have had an opportunity to post some thoughts. This thread will self destruct in 1....2....3....
  5. AW DAYYUUUUUUUUULLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!
  6. One more.
  7. Did the man love to play or what? God Blessed you Pops!
  8. Harold Land - Harold In The Land Of Jazz Nat Adderley - Introducing Nat Adderley Duke Ellington - Live At The Whitney
  9. Damn your clumsy fingers, you've made me look like a total fool.
  10. Hey, what's that floatin' in the punch bowl?
  11. Dude, what is it with cottage cheese and the shit people put in it. A girl that works for me loads it up with tomatoes, and avacados. I know others that put peaches and pineapples in it. I myself am in the pepper adding camp, sorry but it seems like a natural fit.
  12. Ha, I finished my post before you did yours.
  13. Shit, the thread title says "curd" instead of curb. I don't know how to change it, so please be kind.
  14. I watched the repeats lastnight of The Thong, and Acupuncurist episodes. Larry David is funny as hell, watch it if you don't already.
  15. Hans, I know you've got DEEP POCKETS. To be honest with you, I'd be sending my stuff C.O.D with some of these cats here. Seriously, I know what you are saying, it would be cool if it was a function of the board, but I'm sure that is tough if not impossible. I mean you can't even get on this damn board half of the time.
  16. Jim, thanks for the confirmation of Al Grey. Since you brought up Nelson Riddle that reminds me of another. Off the Ella Swings Gently With Nelson record, the song is I Can't Get Started, I have no idea who does the trumpet solo, and it ain't even much to speak of, but for some reason it grabs me every time I hear it.
  17. Dexter Gordon - Tangerine (1972) One of my favorite Gordon dates, both the music and the sound are excellent. Another for me is the 1976 Bill Evans date "Quintessence," Evans and Harold Land with Philly Joe Jones, Ray Brown, Kenny Burrell.
