  9. Most airlines charge pretty stiff change fees, so it likely wouldn't work here. Besides, would you want to go to the airport every day, park, go through security, stand on line to change ticket, etc just to eat airline food (even though first-class is the best of a bad lot)?

  17. THE BOSS MEN - Don Patterson, Sonny Stitt, Billy James. Blue label Prestige, 203 S. Washington. Bergenfield, NJ. Recording by Rudy Van Gelder, and it sounds great. I just got back from the dentist (2nd visit this week), and I needed something with a high chill-out factor
  18. Glad you like that 999 edition. After I posted last time I listened to that recording twice through! It was just so good. I suppose if you have any previous edition you just don't like, you can try a 999 version if one exists.

  22. Er... What's wrong with the Eldridge box? Don't tell me it's Red Nichols on the cover MG That is the way the original photo was cropped and the off center placement seems ok to me. The Eldridge cover shot was reversed if I remember correctly. Oh shit, yes - and I never noticed MG Sorry, hadn't been keeping an eye on the thread but Chuck covered it for me. The Eldridge had a reverse image. I guess that production must have been too far along to correct it. The off-center placement here -well, there are worse things for sure but it still looks odd to me. D/K if any other Mosaics have that problem.
  23. Iris Murdoch novels tend to be vocabulary builders. The latest word I had to look up was: exiguous. Not something you would expect to find in a novel. ex·ig·u·ous igˈzigyo͞oəs,ikˈsig-/ adjective formal 1. very small in size or amount. "my exiguous musical resources" synonyms: meager, inadequate, insufficient, small, scanty, paltry, negligible, modest, deficient, miserly, niggardly, beggarly; More
