  1. AC/DC write great, evil-sounding, sexually provocative songs that instantly turn you back into a fist-pounding, hormone-raging teenager when you hear it cranked up! Power-chord craftsman who keep it simple and to the point. No philosophical meanderings, just ass-kicking slash-n-burn. Both eras are great, IMO, but I lost interest for a little while in the Phil Rudd-less years. That bald drummer on the double Live album is pretty good, but he's no Phil Rudd. I'm really glad he's back. Of the new remasters, I've only picked up Highway To Hell. It totally delivers! Only selected titles have been released so far, with more to follow in April and May. Hard to believe the stuff Mutt Lange is writing/producing with Shania when you hear his stamp on AC/DC. All killer, no filler! I must agree that Steven Tyler almost ruined AC/DC's set at the RNRHOF ceremony. I think he's just enthusiastic, but they are different bags. I really got started listening to them with Back In Black, when I was 15. Some of my fondest memories are being in the back seat of a high-school buddy's '73 Cutlass in the high school parking lot, stoned out of my brain, totally blown away by Brian Johnson's scream of "FIRE!!!!" echoing into outer-space during the part of "For Those About To Rock" when the tempo goes into overdrive. Oh, I can just close my eyes and I'm transported. They kick so much ass, they will continue to blow teenage minds for years to come!
  2. Hey B3er, I'm a HUGE Genesis fan as well. Love all their stuff. But I was introduced to the Phil Collins era first and then discovered the Gabriel era. I loved Phil's interpretations of Gabriel era songs on the live "Seconds Out" album. That's how I first heard "The Carpet Crawlers", "The Lamb Lies Down", "Firth Of Fifth", and "Suppers Ready". When I did finally hear the original studio versions with Gabriel, they took me a little while to adjust to. But I did, and really love both eras. But the drumming by Chester Thompson and Bill Bruford on that "Seconds Out" album is just amazing! And when Phil joins in on his kit, it becomes a tour-de-force!! Incredible interplay! LUV that stuff...
  3. Two thumbs, way up, on the backup singers!!! Well, specifically, Mrs. Leonhart, or however you spell it. What a knockout! Hubba, hubba... It's a really good set; great sound...performances...IMHO...
  4. Get out there! Eat it up, impossible. Enjoy!
  5. Chris Olivarez, Nice to see you made it. Hadn't seen you since the demise of the BNBB. Did you guys get it in Pagosa Springs? And yeah, I've spent a few huevos-freezing nights in Alamosa before...think I got snowed in there.

  7. HURRAY!!! The plow came by! I can now get my wife this afternoon. I just talked to her and she's getting pretty sick of the work/hotel thing. Poor thing started to cry a little. She's gonna have to get much pampering this evening. Got the steaks marinating...
  8. Jim, Parker is a suburb of Denver to the southeast, about 30 miles. Where I'm at, we're up at about 7000 feet, and most of Parker enjoys panoramic views of the entire Front Range, from Pikes Peak (south)to Longs Peak (north). Gunnison is in the mountains in the South Central part of Colorado. I've never been there, but I've been close. Where the heck did you play there? Do you guy's ever take the show on the road anymore?
  9. Howdy Ron, Yeah I hear Bailey got buried. Something like 7 feet!! It's snowing like crazy, again! I may end up shoveling that roof as the news is showing a lot of building collapsing from the buildup. Talk about a nightmare!!! We need this moisture, but this is ridiculous!
  10. You guys think I should shovel this off the roof???!!!
  11. Thick flakes too. Man, they said it was stopping!!!
  12. Man, it's friggin' snowin' again!!!! And I'm out of gas for the snowblower. Hell, I had to borrow that tankful from the neighbor!
  13. NojPossum: You and me both. I just hope the roads are open and Berthoud Pass is passable to Winter Park in time for Saturday! BTW, your post is missing from the forum, but I see it when I'm adding new replys. ??? Oh, I see it in the forum now...
