  3. Besides the ones mentioned there was Dizzy Gillespie & Sarah Vaughan. I once saw Mel Torme do a exquisite version of 'Round Midnight.
  4. Frank Tiberi= Bad M/F
  5. One of my favorite later Ammons. I love Ger-ru and the ballad, Didn't We.
  6. Gary Anderson & Frank Tiberi
  7. Here he is: I liked him. Kicked the shit out of the drums and almost off the stage. I still have one of the Human Arts Ensemble's self produced LPs. George Braith?... that makes some sense because I know that he did some giging with Murray, or vice versa. A lot of heated reasoning here about Murray. I can relate it to the difference between a jam band and say musicians like Jarrett's trio, who jam on a all together different level of musicianship. Each to his own.
  8. Frank Wess - Jazzmobile
  9. Loved to see and hear him. Cleveland huh? My photo of him at Studio Rivbea - July 1976
  10. Not a big Murray fan but I thought I would post one of my photos when I felt he was a nice new player. This I believe, was his first gig in NYC. Charles Bobo Shaw is on drums. Studio Rivbea - July 1976 Guy - that opinion of the saxophonist that Soul Stream quotes, is not a isolated one at all among fellow musicians.

  19. I bought the Japanese lp when it came out. Great packaging. There is a black & white book of photos that came with it. I bought it because I was hoping that it would come close to what I heard when I saw a incredible show of this band( but with Liebman), a couple of years before. At the time, it paled compared to the live concert of course, but the sound was always real good to me. Still is.
  20. Served her well in the jazz management game, didn't it? By the way, I miss Bradleys for the high quality music and the low key hang.
  21. Woody Shaw (w/ Rufus Reid)
