The Early Days of Bluegrass Volume 2 (Rounder)

You have the entire series?

I only grabbed Vol. 5 (The Rich-R-Tone Story) when the batch was available at a really affordable price here at a record fair long ago and regret not having picked up the others. Though I must admit I wouldn't pay big money for these (not that they wouldn't be worth it to aficionados, but to me they are more of a "nice to have" side line).

I have much of the series. The more I listen to them, the more I enjoy them. I tend to like the compilations more than the single artist LPs.

John Carter - Castles Of Ghana [Gramavision]

time to revisit this series although I've just discovered I'm missing one. This will be rectified.

Probably his strongest Grammavision outing, although all releases are excellent (in their own way) ....

I'd agree with that assessment -- if only because the music on Castles of Ghana is SO POWERFUL.

But the entire series is such a compelling and unique body of work!  It's ALL "unmissable" in my book. :)
