Teasing the Korean Posted March 19, 2008 Report Share Posted March 19, 2008 The Genius of Bud Powell (Verve twofer) Classic trio and solo sides from 1949-51. I had two pressings of this album. The later pressing took care of some surface noise that was on some tracks on the previous version (transferred from vinyl, apparently). Verve liner notes are sometimes vague about the sources used for their reissues. I suspect that some master tapes have been lost over the years. I've seen it before on vinyl and cd but the cover and the title always scared me away. He's one of my favorite drummers. I was listening to a recent purchase earlier.
