Big Al Posted September 15, 2004 Report Posted September 15, 2004 Slow day, eh? B-) I can't help but wonder if the joke is on all of the other respondents over there! Quote

Man with the Golden Arm Posted September 15, 2004 Report Posted September 15, 2004 that was a joke? hmmm, it looks like you traced aric's server there. the real joke is that this is on Blue Note. nice samples. WTF!!! another disciple of the classic Patricia Barber school of cosmetology that gets a deal with what used to be a great label. the other is that she'll hopefully don her tomato proof boostier when she plays The Middle East in Boston next month. i don't think the patrons will have time for this insipid chansonery. the heckler sez this:"an excellent scintilating pre-jewel type of acoustic breezy amalgamation of coffee house/folk." Big Wheel Posted September 15, 2004 Report Posted September 15, 2004 I've never seen the Middle East crowd get particularly rowdy, but yeah, this does NOT sound like their cup of tea. (To those unfamiliar with the Middle East: picture a dark, seatless drunk tank with copious amounts of beer being spilled.) Quote

WTF!!! another disciple of the classic Patricia Barber school of cosmetology that gets a deal with what used to be a great label. more like the euro Dylan singer/writer stuff we had here ages ago. check the french language samples on her site. it may be part of the whole seventies wave we're seeing. It doesn't connect to me besides on the level of it being like that ancient stuff. I grew up with that and I find some fun in that, sometimes. but this, I guess, is for the next generation... Quote
JSngry Posted September 27, 2004 Author Report Posted September 27, 2004 Ok, fess up - who amongst us here is "Jennifer Eccles "? http://www.bluenote.com/detail.asp?SelectionID=10321 Quote
Brad Posted September 27, 2004 Report Posted September 27, 2004 I wonder if "Tom" posting that "give us more" is our old Tom at Blue Note. I just don't trust any comments I'd see on that site. Quote
