Aggie87 Posted June 9, 2004 Report Posted June 9, 2004 (edited) Thanks for the heads-up, WD45. I also noticed they have the new Dave Brubeck box, "For All Time", for only $17.99, plus s/h, for those so inclined. edit: on the rock/pop side, they have Neil Young's Greendale, the version with the DVD. Also noticed they have the Rhino remaster of Yes' 90125, as well as the 3 disc best of, which may have been mentioned previously. Edited June 9, 2004 by Aggie87 Quote

ghost of miles Posted June 9, 2004 Report Posted June 9, 2004 (edited) New to clearance: Hank Mobley, STRAIGHT NO FILTER ($2.99). Cassandra Wilson, NEW MOON DAUGHTER ($3.99). Sonny Rollins, COMP. PRESTIGE RECORDINGS ($27.99, but they will nail you on shipping--tack on $20 more. Still a good price overall, though.) Edited June 9, 2004 by ghost of miles Quote
chris olivarez Posted June 10, 2004 Report Posted June 10, 2004 I picked up the "Straight No Filter" recently it's a nice compilation. Glad to see the Blue Notes made it to BMG. I've got six free selections coming to me. I want to hold off awhile before I pull the trigger but they're making it hard. Quote
scottb Posted June 10, 2004 Report Posted June 10, 2004 All the latest RVGs have appeared!! Unfortunately I've gotten almost all of them already. (just ordered Ready For Freddy a couple days ago.) When I buy them they appear, if I wait to see if they are going to get them they don't (ie the last two batches.) This is really pissing me off! Quote
Tjazz Posted June 11, 2004 Report Posted June 11, 2004 Just got the CURE and Peter, Paul & Mary CD box sets. No BMG label markings on either of them. Quote
John B Posted June 28, 2004 Report Posted June 28, 2004 I just got this in my email: To get 50% off with no shipping and handling, enter promotion code "F4OD3" in the box on the left side of our homepage. Hurry! Offer expires 06/30/04. Quote
RDK Posted June 28, 2004 Report Posted June 28, 2004 Even better... 60% off with free shipping... F4OD16 expires soon Quote
wolff Posted June 28, 2004 Report Posted June 28, 2004 The Buy 1, Get Unlimited $1.99 CDs still comes out cheaper for me. Quote
Chuck Nessa Posted June 29, 2004 Report Posted June 29, 2004 Yup, Wolfie is correct! I have memberships in the "Jazz Club" and the classical one. I choose the best deal - not necessarily the same. Under the current deal you need a bunch of cds to get the best from them. Quote

Under the current deal you need a bunch of cds to get the best from them. Exactly. What I do is decide what I want to order, then try a couple (or more) different codes to see which one comes out cheapest. My goal is always an average of less than $5/disc - tough but possible. chris olivarez Posted June 30, 2004 Report Posted June 30, 2004 The Buy 1, Get Unlimited $1.99 CDs still comes out cheaper for me. Your absolutely right!!! I resubmitted the order I put in yesterday plus I added a couple of more. Even with shipping and handling it was a bump up of just a couple of bucks. I should've done the math in the first place. Thanks!!!! Quote
chris olivarez Posted July 2, 2004 Report Posted July 2, 2004 "Newk's Time" is currently unavailable at the BMG music club. Bummer. Quote
Tjazz Posted July 2, 2004 Report Posted July 2, 2004 New stuff: Jackson Browne : Very Best of (2) Johnny Cash : LIFE Quote
Big Al Posted July 2, 2004 Author Report Posted July 2, 2004 New coupon codes: F4OD27: 50% off, no S/H F4OD23: 70% off If anyone can find the code that allows for 60% off with no s/h like last time, that one comes out as the best deal of the three. Quote
Joe G Posted July 2, 2004 Report Posted July 2, 2004 (edited) New: Ensemble Modern Frank Zappa: Greggery Peccary & Other Persuasions Chris, Newk's Time is listed in the catalog. Edited July 2, 2004 by Joe G Quote
wolff Posted July 3, 2004 Report Posted July 3, 2004 Here ya' go Big Al!!!.........F4OD31 60% off and free S/H. Through July 4th I believe. This works out cheaper than the Buy 1 get rest at $1.99 in a few cases. Quote
chris olivarez Posted July 3, 2004 Report Posted July 3, 2004 Joe when I checked my order status it said that "Newk's Time" was temporarily out of stock. Que sera. Quote
scottb Posted July 5, 2004 Report Posted July 5, 2004 Got a "personal" call from BMG on Saturday. They were offering 12 for the price of three. They were very flexible on the offer. They let me substitute the disc they wanted to send and they let me get only two so my deal ended up being 8 for the price of two. The same as buy one get three free EXCEPT I can get multi disc sets as my free ones. I went with Newk's Time and Rockin' the Boat and plan to get the Byrd double RVG as a free one. Quote
Big Al Posted July 5, 2004 Author Report Posted July 5, 2004 Nuts! The board went down before I could see that code! And the dumb thing is, I tried all sorts of different configurations, starting with the F4OD2, and then trying different digits; I even got all the way to F4OD29 before giving up. That'll teach me! Still, 70% off certainly ain't bad! Quote
Dmitry Posted July 5, 2004 Report Posted July 5, 2004 It's time to sign up my wife again. I hate when BMG substitutes their own packaging for the original digipacks. Which cds they carry now are in the ogiginal packaging [especiially those Verve Elites]. TIA! D Quote

Que sera. i have the same problem, ordered it, now i am limbo i guess because it is out of stock. BMG does everything waaaaay to slow, but what a deal. Quote
