GA Russell Posted May 9, 2008 Report Posted May 9, 2008 (edited) I haven't tried this code yet, but it might get you two free CDs: Y8B1 PS - Nope, apparently it just sweetens the offer, but it won't get you two free CDs by themselves. Edited May 10, 2008 by GA Russell Quote
Joe G Posted May 20, 2008 Report Posted May 20, 2008 New to BMG I just rejoined the BMG Music Service after several years (they mailed out catalogs then). Do boxed sets go on sale with any regularity? Hi and, yes, see my above post. Many (most?) of their sale offers apply to box sets. The one to look for is 65% off w/ free shipping, since the shipping cost on boxed sets is obviously more expensive. And here it is: To get the 65% Off CDs, Plus Free Shipping offer, enter the promotion code "Y8P2" in the box on the left side of our website's homepage and click "apply." But hurry! Promo code is only good until 5/26/08! Quote

WD45 Posted June 10, 2008 Report Posted June 10, 2008 Buy 1, get 5 free. That works out to $5.95 per CD. Code: U8X1 expires June 15 When I got this coupon, I had to commit to buying another CD at full price within the next year in order to take advantage. They haven't done that with a coupon before, AFAIK. How odd. Quote
mikelz777 Posted June 10, 2008 Report Posted June 10, 2008 (edited) It would be a much better deal just to quit and rejoin. Then you'd get 11 free CDs for buying one. I'm like Big Al at this point. I don't think I could find 5 that I'd really like to own anymore let alone 11. Edited June 10, 2008 by mikelz777 Quote
RDK Posted June 10, 2008 Report Posted June 10, 2008 They've had some inexplicable "get three for free" codes lately (paying only shipping). I'll try to dig one up. Quote

WD45 Posted July 22, 2008 Report Posted July 22, 2008 BTW, has anyone ordered the Jimmy Smith Village Gate or Stan Getz Jazz Giants discs from BMG? I got a couple of these discs from them in crappy jewel case half-ass versions. Others were in the digipacks you would find in stores. No rhyme or reason. Quote
Noj Posted July 22, 2008 Report Posted July 22, 2008 Cool deal, WD45! I ordered the following (also coming out to about six clams and change apiece). George Benson - I Got A Woman & Some Blues (Remastered) Kenny Burrell - A Night At The Vanguard (Remastered) Alice Coltrane - Universal Consciousness (Remastered) Pharoah Sanders - Elevation Nina Simone - Four Women: The Nina Simone Philips Recordings (4CD) Quote

Ron S Posted September 19, 2008 Report Posted September 19, 2008 Erik, where do you get these codes, anyway (not that I'm looking a gift horse in the mouth)? Quote
Aggie87 Posted September 19, 2008 Report Posted September 19, 2008 (edited) Erik, where do you get these codes, anyway (not that I'm looking a gift horse in the mouth)? There's a BMG thread on the DVD Talk Forum. I discovered it a while back and bookmarked it. People post the codes there. Where the codes originate from, I have no idea! But I'm not going to turn them down either. At this point BMG wouldn't be issuing them if they had problems with so many folks using them, I think. PS - there's a thread about free magazine subscriptions on there too. Sometimes find some decent things. I've ended up with Paste, Blender, TV Guide (not sure why I got this, as I really don't watch much tv at all other than sportsl & news), and Motor Trend. Edited September 19, 2008 by Aggie87 Quote
RDK Posted September 19, 2008 Report Posted September 19, 2008 Just a hint about using these "free" codes: they appear to work on on 2-3 disc sets while the "bonus points" freebies don't. So I try to use these to pick up any 2-disc sets that I might need. Quote
Aggie87 Posted September 22, 2008 Report Posted September 22, 2008 Two more: S8E4 - Get one free S8E5 - Get 3 free I'm starting to run out of things I want from BMG! But I don't want to miss these freebies, if the codes get deactivated, either. Quote
