medjuck Posted January 13, 2005 Report Posted January 13, 2005 A visit like this would sure aid MY recovery! (Or if it happened now, scare the crap out of me!) What records have Pops & Pee Wee on them? (I'm presuming there are some.) I just got the new Mosaic catalogue and it was the montion of the Ruby Braff with Pee Wee sides that made me decide to get the Columbia Small Group Swing Sessions. Quote
Harold_Z Posted January 13, 2005 Report Posted January 13, 2005 Come to think of it...I don't believe thare are any recordings of Pops and Pee Wee together - and that's too bad. Quote

brownie Posted January 13, 2005 Report Posted January 13, 2005 Randy, many thanks for providing those rare clippings. They're great! Could you also provide information on where they were published? Quote
Randy Twizzle Posted January 13, 2005 Report Posted January 13, 2005 (edited) Randy, many thanks for providing those rare clippings. They're great! Could you also provide information on where they were published? The Pee Wee column came from the Portland (Maine) Press Herald. I found it and all the other articles I've posted at newspaperarchive.com. It''s very easy to find interesting stories there. If you love old newspapers it's damn near paradise and well worth the yearly membership fee. I might add that I'm not in any way affiliiated with the site.
