Michael Fitzgerald Posted January 22, 2005 Report Posted January 22, 2005 Many thanks for the info. The Barron blurb is incorrect - only 3 Bill Barron originals. 2 are by Kenny Barron. Anyone know the city for Cobi's (as the SteepleChase page shows it on the CD cover). Mike Quote
JSngry Posted January 22, 2005 Report Posted January 22, 2005 Many thanks from here, also. I'll definitely be looking into the Bill Barron. That guy's work intrigues me to no end. Quote
Brad Posted January 22, 2005 Report Posted January 22, 2005 I haven't got the last 2 Dexters from SteepleChase so I'll be calling to get this and the 2 others. Mike, how do you know that the blurb is incorrect since so little info is given. Is there a bootleg or review copy out there? Quote
Dan Gould Posted January 22, 2005 Author Report Posted January 22, 2005 I haven't got the last 2 Dexters from SteepleChase so I'll be calling to get this and the 2 others. Yeah, same here, I skipped the one before this. And, with Valentine's coming up, I've printed out Peter's emails, marked the two Dexter's, and told my wife, this is what I want. B-) And she said, "good, you're making it easy for me." Quote
Michael Fitzgerald Posted January 22, 2005 Report Posted January 22, 2005 I just followed the link to the SteepleChase site. Details of this album are now in my Bill Barron discography. When more details become available to me I will adjust it. Mike Quote
relyles Posted January 22, 2005 Report Posted January 22, 2005 I gotta have that Bill Barron recording. I have all his recordings as a leader and he is truly an unsung gem. Quote
JSngry Posted February 7, 2005 Report Posted February 7, 2005 The Bill Barron is a nice addition. Quote
Dan Gould Posted June 25, 2018 Author Report Posted June 25, 2018 Discovered this - Peter Crawford did some producing too? Fact that this was licensed to Steeplechase makes me think this is the same guy. Quote
