JSngry Posted June 5, 2017 Report Posted June 5, 2017 I liked it all, it was all one prolonged dream sequence to me. I never tried to make sense of it out of that sense, so I was never frustrated. I like sleeping, and I really like dreams. Dreams are always the same and never the same, and what they mean, they only mean until the next one. So... Will look for the new shows on Showtime. Gonna jump right in, sleep right down, daddy let my mind roll on. Quote

I was watching some extra features from one of the Sherlock seasons, and one of the difficultĀ things that Cumberbatch mentioned about playing the part is that he had to speak some of the lines when Holmes is thinking as fast asĀ the character'sĀ thoughts would come. He would have to speak them almost without thinking, which wouldĀ seem incredibly hard to do. Quote

JSngry Posted June 12, 2017 Report Posted June 12, 2017 Have now completed the new seasons of Sherlock, House Of Cards, and Orange Is The New Black. Other than a .25 star deductionĀ to Sherlock for veering just a little teence too far in actionmovieland, this is all ***** stuff in my book. Also thoroughlyĀ enjoying the new season of Master Of None, which is delightfully non-bingeable. Eat one or two, digest thoroughly, come back tomorrow or the day after. Good stuff, this type of satisfying and non-addictive entertainment. Quote
JSngry Posted June 17, 2017 Report Posted June 17, 2017 Finished Season 2 of Master Of None last night...what a remarkable accomplishment that show is! Quote

jazzbo Posted June 23, 2017 Report Posted June 23, 2017 (edited) I thought it was an entertaining season myself. Not quite as good as the other two in many ways, but worth watching, especially once you got into the second half. erwbol Posted June 26, 2017 Report Posted June 26, 2017 What to say of Twin Peaks season 3 episode 8? Here is what The Guardian said and it'sĀ true: Twin Peaks recap: episode eight ā the most mind-melting, majestic outing yet After this bewilderingly brave and groundbreaking hour of television, David Lynch has outdone himself. What an unforgettable journey Ā ...Ā what follows is so mind-meltingly brave and groundbreaking thatās itās arguably the most avant garde piece of mainstream television since the showās initial run. erwbol Posted June 29, 2017 Report Posted June 29, 2017 For those who have seen the mind-bending pure genius episode 8 of Twin Peaks season 3, here is an interesting fact about the music Lynch used in a certain important scene. For everyone else MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD: link. Quote
kh1958 Posted June 29, 2017 Report Posted June 29, 2017 That was quite anĀ episode. The day when TV series are much better and more creative than films was not one I anticipated. Quote
kinuta Posted July 5, 2017 Report Posted July 5, 2017 Broken BBC Gets my vote for the best serious drama of the year. Briliiant performance from Sean Bean speaking in his natural Sheffield dialect. Sad, haunting and ultimately very uplifting. Quote
kinuta Posted July 10, 2017 Report Posted July 10, 2017 Gypsy Netflix. No minced words, a right load of bollocks. Quote
kinuta Posted August 4, 2017 Report Posted August 4, 2017 (edited) Top Of The Lake Season Two Very good, ignore the negative reviews. Nicole Kidman is on a roll. ..................00....................... Now finished and have mixed feelings. Leaving threads hanging and the narrative unresolvedĀ was not satisfactory. It felt like several scriptwriters had made a contribution and the thing had been botched in the editing. Ā Edited August 6, 2017 by kinuta Quote
kinuta Posted August 7, 2017 Report Posted August 7, 2017 Game Of Thrones That was a stunning battle sequence. Can't imagine how they can top that for sheer spectacle. Quote
